Julio Jones (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

The Falcons are just managing his reps. Jones is a top-five receiver option despite a difficult matchup with the Giants in Week 5.
Oct 1 - 4:04 PM

Coach Ron Rivera said Darrin Reaves is currently the Panthers' starting running back.

With DeAngelo Williams (ankle) and Mike Tolbert (leg) out and Jonathan Stewart (knee) still working his way back, Reaves is next up on the depth chart, followed by Chris Ogbonnaya and Fozzy Whittaker. Reaves (5-foot-7, 209) is an undrafted rookie out of UAB, but was a favorite by some in the draft community. For owners in a bye-week or injury crunch, Reaves is worth a grab for Week 5 against the Bears. He won't be the full-time ball carrier, but should lead a committee attack.
Oct 1 - 4:01 PM

Vernon Davis (back) will not practice Wednesday.

Davis says his back is still experiencing spasms and remains day to day. He should be considered questionable for Week 5. At less than full health, Davis will be a touchdown-dependent TE1 if active.
Oct 1 - 4:00 PM

Marquise Goodwin (concussion) is practicing in full for Week 5.

Barring any setbacks, he should be cleared for Sunday's game against the Lions. A situational deep threat, Goodwin has zero targets through three games.
Oct 1 - 3:57 PM

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley expects WR Ace Sanders to play in Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Sanders hasn't been able to practice the first four weeks due to his suspension, but will be asked to step in right away with Marqise Lee and Cecil Shorts both sidelined by hamstring injuries. He should see the majority of snaps in three-wide sets over Mike Brown.
Oct 1 - 3:51 PM

Coach Jeff Fisher announced that Austin Davis will be the Rams' starting quarterback moving forward.

Fisher says there will be "no short hook." After initially claiming Shaun Hill would resume the starting job once 100 percent healthy from a Week 1 thigh injury, Fisher has changed course. Rightfully so. Among quarterbacks with at least 90 pass attempts, Davis is tops in the league with his 72.3 completion percentage. He's averaging a healthy 8.0 YPA with a 3:3 TD:INT ratio. He's had a couple back-breaking turnovers, but Davis has generally moved the offense pretty well. Davis has a plus matchup against the Eagles this week, but is still a QB2. Davis isn't the long-term option past 2014. The Rams should know that.
Oct 1 - 3:31 PM

Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) is practicing in full for Week 5.

Maclin tweaked his hammy against the 49ers last week but is in zero danger of missing a tasty matchup at home against the Rams. He's a weekly WR1.
Oct 1 - 3:15 PM

Ahmad Bradshaw did not practice Wednesday.

Bradshaw was in a walking boot after Sunday's game, but the Colts are holding him out for rest purposes. He should return to at least a limited practice Thursday. Bradshaw will be an RB2/FLEX option in Week 5 against the Ravens.
