Jerrel Jernigan caught 3-of-4 targets for 22 yards in Friday's preseason game.
Jarrett Boykin had no catches on two targets in Friday's preseason game against the Raiders.
Stephen Hill secured only 1-of-4 targets for 12 yards in Friday's regular-season dress rehearsal.
He also committed a drop. It was a thoroughly uninspiring evening for a player who's on the roster bubble. The No. 43 overall pick of the 2012 draft now has just two grabs for 29 yards through three preseason games. Hill's career is trending in the wrong direction.
Jace Amaro hauled in all four of his targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game.
Amaro caught a 15-yard drag from Geno Smith on the Jets' first play from scrimmage, and hauled in a one-yard score one quarter later. He has eight catches for 79 yards and a touchdown through three preseason games. Amaro figures to be inconsistent as a rookie, but is on the fantasy radar as a back-end TE2. He could prove to be a streaming option. The targets are there for the taking in New York's offense.
Panthers WR Jason Avant did not catch a pass against the Patriots Friday night.
He was targeted once. Avant started the game, and will likely play in three-reciver sets this season. Avant has one catch for 25 yards this preseason. He has no fantasy value.
Joique Bell had seven carries for 24 yards in Friday night's preseason game.
Bell rotated evenly with Reggie Bush and was the primary third down back. He got the majority of red-zone work, though he did lose a carry to Theo Riddick at the goal-line in the second quarter. Bell has potential to lead Detroit in carries this season and is good value at his current fifth-round ADP. He has 11 carries for 42 yards (3.81 YPC) through three preseason games.
Third-round TE Richard Rodgers started Friday's preseason game against the Raiders, his third consecutive start.
Rodgers found a hole up the seam on the game's opening drive, galloping for a 32-yard gain. He ended up playing every snap on that opening drive and took the majority of first-team reps, but veteran Andrew Quarless did rotate in and caught a 6-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers midway through the second quarter. Rodgers has three catches for 50 yards through three preseason games, and is at least worth putting on the TE2 radar. Despite underwhelming talent and struggles as a run-blocker, he's penned in as a starter in a very explosive offense.
Eric Decker caught 3-of-5 targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Friday's preseason game.
Decker almost had a second score, but couldn't quite hook up with Geno Smith in the end zone. The Jets' No. 1 receiver sat out the second preseason game with a quad injury. He should close the book on August with five grabs for 46 yards and a score. Currently the WR36, Decker is being under-drafted.
