Pierre Garcon secured 3-of-4 targets for 34 yards in the Redskins' Week 12 loss to San Francisco.
The Redskins played simplistic, run-heavy offense in an effort to limit struggling Robert Griffin III's impact on the game. Therefore, Washington's pass catchers put very little into the box score. Garcon has been a minor factor in the Redskins' passing game all season. With decidedly ineffective quarterback play, he's a WR4 entering a Week 13 date with the Colts.
Cooper Helfet sprained his ankle during Sunday's Week 12 win over the Cardinals.
Robert Griffin III completed 11-of-19 passes for 106 yards and rushed four times for 11 yards in the Redskins' Week 12 loss to San Francisco.
He took five sacks and lost a fumble on Washington's final offensive play. One week after RG3 almost single-handedly torpedoed Jay Gruden's offense, the Skins' coaching staff attempted to simplify things for their quarterback by running the ball with a lot of volume against San Francisco's normally stout defensive front. Griffin essentially functioned as a game manager, doing nothing to help a red-hot Alfred Morris. The Skins stayed competitive for longer than expected in this game, but not because of their quarterback. We suppose Griffin deserves credit for "playing hard" against a swarming 49ers' pass rush, although we tend to believe all football players should "play hard." Not even in the fantasy QB1 conversation any longer, Griffin will be a risky two-quarterback-league option in Week 13 against the Colts.
Tony Moeaki caught four passes for 34 yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Cardinals.
An already-decimated Seahawks tight end room lost another one Sunday as Cooper Helfet sprained an ankle. So Moeaki, a talented player who was a third-round pick of the Chiefs in 2012, racked up snaps. But even if he starts on Thanksgiving against the 49ers, Moeaki would be a poor fantasy play as part of Seattle's run-heavy, spread-the-wealth pass game.
Robert Turbin rushed four times for 12 yards in Sunday's Week 12 win over the Cardinals.
When Marshawn Lynch was getting his back stretched out in the first quarter, Turbin functioned as an every-down back. He's clearly ahead of Christine Michael and needs to be owned as a handcuff right now given Lynch's repeated problems. The Seahawks are on a short week as the play at San Francisco on Thursday night.
Cowboys DT Josh Brent is inactive for Week 12.
Brent was activated from suspension last week, but isn't ready to return. The rest of the Cowboys inactives are DT Terrell McClain, S Jakar Hamilton, OT Donald Hawkins, CB Tyler Patmon, OT Tony Hills, and QB Dustin Vaughan.
Giants LG Geoff Schwartz (toe) is active for Sunday night's Week 12 game against the Cowboys.
Schwartz returns after missing the last seven games. He'll start at right tackle, with Adam Snyder starting over LG Weston Richburg. The Giants inactives are OG Brandon Mosley, CB Mike Harris, OT Justin Pugh, LB Jacquian Williams, OL Dallas Reynolds, DE Kerry Wynn, and DT Cullen Jenkins.
Russell Wilson completed 17-of-22 passes for 211 yards with one touchdown and rushed 10 times for 73 yards in Sunday's 19-3 Week 12 win over the Cardinals.
With Marshawn Lynch bottled up by a balky back and a swarming Cardinals run defense, Wilson took it upon himself to knock off the division leaders. He did it with error-free football, never coming near a turnover and executing read-option plays beautifully. Wilson remains matchup-proof because of his legs -- he's now gone over 70 rushing yards in five of the last eight games. He'll be a QB1 against even in a difficult matchup at San Francisco on Thanksgiving night.
