Cam Newton completed 18-of-31 passes for 201 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Panthers' Week 16 win over Cleveland, adding 12 carries for 63 yards and an additional score.

The Panthers' passing game struggled, but Newton plunged in for a two-yard touchdown on a second-quarter bootleg to give Carolina a 10-3 lead. OC Mike Shula was surprisingly aggressive utilizing Cam as a runner under two weeks removed from his scary car accident. Cam dominated on bootleg runs in this game, finishing with his third highest rushing total of the season. Newton threw his lone TD pass to Jonathan Stewart from nine yards out in the fourth quarter, which proved the game winner. At 6-8-1, the Panthers will face the Falcons in Week 17 for the NFC South title.

Julio Jones caught 7-of-8 targets for 107 yards Week 16 against the Saints.

Jones did not play every snap, but he played the vast majority despite not practicing at all leading up to the game. Jones did not appear to be 100 percent healthy, but he still made several big plays including a huge 24-yard grab that set up the Falcons for a touchdown with little time left in the second quarter. Jones appeared to escape the game without any setbacks, meaning he should be good to go for the winner take all game against the Panthers next week.

Joique Bell rushed 13 times for 74 yards with one touchdown and caught two passes for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-14 Week 16 win at Chicago.

Bell was oddly benched for the entire first quarter, perhaps due to some kind of rules violation. But it was business as usual after he got his first snap with 12:36 left in the second quarter. Bell was the feature back, hogging clock-killing and red-zone work even though Reggie Bush was looking extremely spry. The highlight was a madden-style 17-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that gave the Lions a lead they would hold. Matthew Stafford also barely missed Bell on a wheel route that would have gone for a touchdown earlier. The Lions close the regular season at Green Bay next week.
Dec 21 - 4:07 PM

Matt Ryan completed 30-of-40 passes for 322 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' Week 16 win over the Saints.

The story of the game was pressure. The Saints defense rarely put Ryan under pressure, recording zero sacks and only hitting the quarterback twice all game. With nothing but time, Ryan was able to surgically pick apart the Saints' secondary, spreading the ball between 10 different pass catchers. Ryan has now thrown for 300 yards four straight weeks. He can lead the Falcons to the playoffs with a win against Carolina Week 17.

The Jets "fear" C Nick Mangold has a fractured fibula.

FOX Sports' Mike Garofolo reports an X-ray revealed no break, however. That would qualify as extremely good news after Vince Wilfork's entire weight fell on Mangold's left leg. Mangold will undergo a Monday MRI. Whatever his injury is, Mangold has played his snap of 2014, leaving Dalton Freeman as the Jets' center.

Falcons SS William Moore exited Week 16 against the Saints with a shoulder injury.

Moore was on injured reserve/designated to return with a shoulder injury earlier in the season. He is questionable to return.
Dec 21 - 3:25 PM

Rams declared CB Marcus Roberson, TE Justice Cunningham, C/G Barrett Jones, OG Brandon Washington, TE Alex Bayer, DT Alex Carrington and DE Ethan Westbrooks inactive for Sunday's Week 16 game against the Giants.

No surprises here as the Rams red-hot defense looks to stay piping against turnover-prone Eli Manning.
Dec 21 - 3:20 PM

Donte Moncrief is the Colts' starting wide receiver opposite Reggie Wayne in Sunday's game against Dallas.

Third-round rookie Moncrief got the nod over Hakeem Nicks. Moncrief is a high-upside WR3 play in fantasy football leagues, with a raised floor due to T.Y. Hilton's (hamstring) inactivity.
