Jacob Tamme caught four passes for 47 yards in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Titans.
Wes Welker went down with a concussion just before halftime and never returned. The Broncos immediately turned to Tamme as their slot receiver and he responded by creating separation consistently. Considering this is Welker's second concussion in a month and the Broncos play on Thursday night in Week 15, we'd be absolutely shocked if Tamme didn't play the slot role against the Chargers. Owners in need of plug-n-play tight end help should make the add immediately.
Russell Wilson completed 15-of-25 passes for 199 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Seattle's 19-17, Week 14 loss to the 49ers.
Peyton Hillis rushed four times for 11 yards and a touchdown in the Giants' Week 14 loss to San Diego.
Hillis did nothing other than steal fantasy points from Andre Brown, vulturing a one-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. The Giants have some odd obsession with designated goal-line backs. Hillis isn't even a worthwhile handcuff for Brown for Weeks 15 and 16.
The Cardinals believe Tyrann Mathieu suffered a torn left ACL in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Rams.
Speaking after the game, coach Bruce Arians said it "appears" Mathieu tore his ACL. The rookie will undergo an MRI on Monday to confirm. Mathieu was playing on special teams when the injury happened. He was in on the tackle of Tavon Austin when his leg planted awkwardly and gave out. Mathieu sat on the turf for a few minutes before limping off under his own power. Mathieu's knee then buckled and a cart was called over to escort him to the locker room. The No. 69 overall pick in April's draft has been nails as the Cardinals' free safety and slot defender. It's a big loss for an Arizona defense that is one of the top units in the NFL.
Eli Manning completed 20-of-32 passes for 259 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Giants' Week 14 loss to San Diego.
This was a truly abominal game in such a great matchup and such a great environment as sunny San Diego. Officially retaking the NFL interceptions lead from Geno Smith, Manning was picked for the 19th and 20th times this season, and the G-Men were dominated in time of possession as New York's offense failed to sustain drives. Manning will be no better than a low-ceiling QB2 when the Giants take on the Seahawks in Week 15.
Demaryius Thomas caught seven passes for 88 yards with a touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Titans.
Thomas' touchdown came when he wasn't open initially from four yards out, but he broke down the back line of the end zone and Peyton Manning found him. Later, he caught another short touchdown pass but was deemed barely out of bounds. Demaryius now has either a touchdown or 100 yards in seven straight games and gets a dream matchup at home against the Chargers' league-worst corners on Thursday night. He's a dream to own as a WR1.
Rueben Randle managed 27 yards on two receptions in the Giants' Week 14 loss to the Chargers.
Randle has been a boom-or-bust fantasy option all season, who's generally paid dividends whenever NOT expected to, and turned in clunkers whenever it looked like he was headed for a big game. This one was a very favorable matchup against one of the poorest pass defenses in football, and Randle couldn't convert. He'll be a much better WR2/3 next year, when Hakeem Nicks leaves New York.
Eric Decker caught eight passes for 117 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's Week 14 win over the Titans.
Decker's owners got a scare when Bernard Pollard lit him up with a legal hit (that was flagged anyway) in the second half. But it turned out that Decker merely got the wind knocked out of him and he was able to finish the game. Wes Welker (concussion) didn't finish the game, however, potentially opening up some more consistent targets for the outside receivers. Decker now has 16 catches for 291 yards and five touchdowns since he was held to a 1/5/0 line in Week 12. He's going to light up the Chargers' inept corners on Thursday night.
