Major League Baseball has extended the administrative leave for Roberto Osuna for another week through May 28.

It's the second extension for administrative leave since Osuna's arrest for assault on May 8. He still has a court date scheduled for June 18, so it's unclear when he might pitch for the Blue Jays again. He could face a possible suspension from MLB even if he isn't ultimately convicted. Tyler Clippard has the lone save for Toronto since Osuna's arrest.

Andrew Miller felt his back lock up on him Friday after he completed his normal pregame routine.

Miller didn't pitch in the Indians' weekend series against the Astros. "It's frustrating," Miller said on Saturday. "I did all the pregame stuff fine. It just really locked up on me. I got treatment and it responded well. I think the smart thing was not to be out there today." It doesn't sound like a major concern, but this could provide some context for his unusual struggles of late. Miller has allowed four runs on three hits and five walks in three appearances since returning from the disabled list.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that the Tigers are receiving trade inquiries on left-hander Francisco Liriano.

Liriano carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning in Sunday's start against the Mariners, ultimately allowing one hit with three walks and five strikeouts over eight scoreless innings as part of a no-decision. The 34-year-old southpaw has been a nice pickup for the Tigers, posting a 3.42 ERA and 37/26 K/BB ratio in 52 2/3 innings over nine starts. The rebuilding Tigers would surely love to flip him for something, though the timetable for such a deal is unclear. He likely wouldn't cost much in a potential trade.

Nick Kingham was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday, but Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said the 26-year-old has earned a future opportunity whenever it might arise.

Kingham returned to the majors for a spot-start Saturday against the Padres, allowing three runs over six innings. He was sent right down to the minors with Joe Musgrove due to come off the disabled list this week, but the move was more about the composition of the roster rather than his performance. "Nick continues to be very professional in everything that he does and everything that he touches. He understands the roster, the way it's set up to work right now," said Hurdle. "Obviously he's done everything he can do to keep himself fresh in our minds as we move forward. Whether there's injury, performance, whatever it might be, he's shown the ability to pitch at this level." These situations have a tendency to work things out, so fantasy owners would do well to keep a close eye on the Pirates' rotation.

Starling Marte (oblique) has yet to resume baseball activities.

Marte injured his oblique last Tuesday before landing on the disabled list, but he's already feeling better. He doesn't expect to miss significant time, but the Pirates are going to play it safe before giving the green light to ramp things up. Austin Meadows is holding down regular playing time during his absence.

Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos isn't ready to provide a timetable for when prospect third baseman Austin Riley will make his way to the majors.

Johan Camargo will serve as the regular third baseman now that the Jose Bautista experiment has come to a close, but he could end up being a stopgap until Riley is ready to take over. The 21-year-old Riley mashed to the tune of a .333/.394/.667 batting line with six homers over 27 games prior to a recent promotion to Triple-A. He's batting .308/.362/.500 with three homers over 13 game with Gwinnett. "Obviously, we're high on [Riley] and excited about him," said Anthopoulos. "He'll tell us when he's ready. If he performs and gets hot, that's a good problem to have. You can never have too many good players. If Austin can show us he's ready, we'd love to be in that spot where we have a tough decision to make." It's conceivable that Riley could force the issue later this season.
May 21 - 9:27 AM

Manuel Margot (wrist) returned to the starting lineup Sunday against the Pirates and went 1-for-4 with a single and an RBI.

Margot plated a run with a ground out. The young outfielder was limited to pinch-hitting duties the previous two games after hyperextending his left wrist during Thursday's game. It has been a struggle for Margot this season, as he holds a weak .194/.239/.295 batting line over 36 games.
May 21 - 9:10 AM

Hernan Perez (wrist) went 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout in his return to the starting lineup Sunday against the Twins.

Perez missed a few days with a wrist issue, but he should be good to go moving forward. He started in right field Sunday and should see semi-regular playing time while Ryan Braun (back) is sidelined.
