Torrey Smith secured just 2-of-8 targets for 25 yards in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Browns.

It was another brutal game for Smith statistically, and he didn't help himself with a fourth-quarter drop. After opening the season as a potentially promising WR2/3 candidate, Smith's stock has been torpedoed by OC Gary Kubiak's offense, which is funneling the football to Steve Smith Sr. We wouldn't drop Torrey quite yet, but he's getting there. He's just a WR4. The Ravens take on the Panthers' tough defense next week.

Rashad Jennings rushed for 176 yards and one touchdown on 34 carries in the Giants' Week 3, 30-17 drubbing of the Texans.

Sep 21 - 4:14 PM

Drew Brees completed 27-of-35 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns in New Orleans' 20-9, Week 3 win over the Vikings.

Aside from his 34-yard touchdown strike to reserve TE Josh Hill in the first quarter, there weren't many big plays to be had for Brees, but he compensated by taking whatever the Vikings gave him. It was a ruthlessly efficient day for a player coming off back-to-back road losses. Brees' start is slower than his fantasy owners envisioned, but he has two strong matchups — at Dallas, home vs. Tampa Bay — before the Saints go on bye in Week 6.
Sep 21 - 4:13 PM

Philip Rivers completed 18-for-25 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns against the Bills.

The Bills were able to get some pressure, but Rivers looked comfortable all day, leading four scoring drives of 60 yards or more. Rivers now sports a six to one touchdown-to-interception ratio this season, and will flirt with QB1 value at home against the Jaguars next week.

Owen Daniels managed one catch for eight yards in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Browns.

He secured his lone target. Dennis Pitta suffered a potentially severe hip injury, which could give Daniels primary tight end work in Baltimore for the foreseeable future. Daniels remains a low-ceiling fantasy option. He could be of some interest to tight end streamers, but not in Week 4 against the Panthers' defense.

Matt Cassel fractured several bones in his foot during Sunday's Week 3 loss at New Orleans and is out indefinitely.

We don't have a timetable yet, but players can't gut it out through broken bones in their feet. This is rookie Teddy Bridgewater's team now, a good thing for the entire Vikings offense. Bridgewater went 12-of-20 for 150 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and also rushed six times for 27 yards in relief Sunday.
Sep 21 - 4:11 PM

Justin Forsett gained 63 yards on 11 carries and caught four passes for two yards in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Browns.

Lorenzo Taliaferro was Baltimore's primary back with Bernard Pierce (thigh) inactive, as Forsett handled mainly change-of-pace and passing-down work. Taliaferro averaged 5.1 YPC on 18 carries. The Ravens clearly see Forsett as a spot back, limiting his fantasy appeal. He's a low-ceiling RB4 in fantasy leagues.
Sep 21 - 4:10 PM

Aaron Rodgers completed 16-of-27 passes for 162 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in the Packers' 19-7, Week 3 loss to the Lions.

Stunningly, Rodgers had zero competitions of 20 yards or longer. The Lions put the lid on the Packers' big-play offense from the opening whistle, making life extra hard on Rodgers by completely erasing the Pack's ground game. There just wasn't much time for Rodgers to make plays, or windows for him to complete passes when he got outside the pocket. The Pack have looked extremely shaky through the season's first three games, but there's still no reason to worry about Rodgers. He should bounce back in next week's trip to Soldier Field.
