Packers activated CB Makinton Dorleant from injured reserve.
It's an expected move. Dorleant has been practicing the last two weeks and will give the Packers secondary depth. Eddie Lacy and Sam Shields are both out for the season.
Lions released CB Johnthan Banks.
The Lions gave up a 2018 seventh-round pick for Banks at the trade deadline. He lasted just four weeks on their active roster. Banks is in danger of falling out of the league.
Lions activated DE Armonty Bryant from the reserve/suspended list.
Bryant will rejoin Detroit after missing the last three weeks. He also served a four-game PED suspension to open the season. Bryant's return will upgrade the Lions pass rush.
Lions released RB Justin Forsett.
Forsett had been a healthy scratch the last few weeks. He wasn't needed behind Theo Riddick, Dwayne Washington, and Zach Zenner. Forsett has ties to Broncos HC Gary Kubiak, but seems unlikely to resurface this late in the season.
Patriots placed TE Rob Gronkowski (back surgery) on injured reserve, ending his season.
The Patriots already designated a player to return, so he's done for the rest of the season/playoffs. Gronkowski underwent his third back surgery Friday but is expected to make a full recovery. He should be healthy for the start of 2017 OTAs.
49ers placed LB Shayne Skov (knee) on injured reserve.
A 2015 UDFA, Skov appeared in nine games on special teams. The 49ers promoted S Marcus Ball to replace him on the active roster.
Packers RG T.J. Lang (foot) has been ruled out for Week 13.
With JC Tretter (knee) also sidelined, the Packers will be down two offensive lineman against the Texans. It'd be a bigger concern if Green Bay had a running game. Jason Spriggs should start in Lang's place.
Packers CB Damarius Randall (groin) is questionable for Week 13.
Randall practiced on a limited basis after returning last week. The late addition to the injury report suggests he's a game-time decision. The Packers also downgraded RG T.J. Lang (foot) and JC Tretter (knee) to out against the Texans.
