Johan Camargo went 4-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI as the Braves crushed the Jays 11-4 on Tuesday.

It was all from the bottom of the lineup in this one: the five-through-nine hitters combined for 11 of the team's 14 hits, 10 runs scored and nine RBI. Camargo was hitting ninth with the DH in play in Toronto. He now has more RBI this year (30) than he did last year (27), even though he's received 75 fewer player appearances (256 to 181). He'll remain the Braves' primary third baseman going forward.

Odubel Herrera homered for the third day in a row in the Phillies' loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Herrera mysteriously tried to bunt for a hit in the first inning with two on and nobody out. He had a better plan of attack in his second plate appearance when he took Luke Weaver over the right-field wall. Herrera had been in a horrible slump but has now gone deep four times over his last five contests and has 10 hits over his last six games.

Mike Soroka yielded four runs in 4 2/3 innings to take a no-decision Tuesday against the Braves.

Soroka took an 8-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth, but the Braves had to get him out of there after a single, two doubles and a walk. The win ended up going to Sam Freeman, who pitched 2 1/3 scoreless innings after coming in to start the sixth. The 20-year-old Soroka is plenty capable, but he can't afford to string together a few bad outings and expect to retain his rotation spot.

Jaime Garcia was tagged for five runs in three-plus innings by the Braves on Tuesday.

The Jays have been planning to remove Sam Gaviglio from the rotation to make room for Marcus Stroman this weekend, but Garcia seems more deserving of the demotion. He's 2-6 with a 6.16. The reason it might not happen is that the Jays probably figure Gaviglio is more capable of helping in middle relief.

Ender Inciarte went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI and three runs scored Tuesday against the Blue Jays.

Inciarte is making a good case for returning to the top of the order. He's certainly a better option batting first or second than Dansby Swanson, who really hasn't been any good since the first few weeks of the season. Inciarte has struggled some, too, but the track record is there.

Jefry Rodriguez struggled in his first major league start Tuesday, yielding five runs over five frames in the Nationals’ 9-7 victory over the Orioles.

Rodriguez struck out six, but he served up a pair of home runs, walked three and hit a batter, needing 96 pitches to complete his six innings. The Nats managed to battle back, handing Rodriguez with a no-decision. The young right-hander is surely headed back to the minors.

David Hess started strong but hit a wall Tuesday, allowing five runs over just 4 2/3 innings in the Orioles' loss to the Nationals.

Hess yielded just a solo home run and one walk through the first four frames, but things quickly fell apart in the fifth. He permitted four hits, two walks and four runs to eight hitters before finally being pulled. Hess has now posted two straight clunkers and can’t be trusted in fantasy leagues, especially since he’s not missing bats. He’s lined up to face the Braves on Sunday.

Charlie Culberson homered, doubled and scored three times in Tuesday's rout of the Blue Jays.

The homer wasn't a walkoff, so Culberson is trying to get it stricken from the record. No word yet on the results of his appeal.
