FOX Sports' Jon Morosi reports that the Orioles are interested in Yoenis Cespedes.
The Orioles are just one game back for a Wild Card spot and could really use a bat, but they might not have enough in their farm system to outbid other contenders. They also might not be willing to give a top prospect for a rental.

Such a scenario would have been unthinkable just a couple of weeks ago, but the White Sox have played much better of late and currently sit just 2 1/2 games back for a Wild Card spot. Yankees acquired OF/INF Dustin Ackley from the Mariners for OF Ramon Flores and RHP Jose Ramirez.
The Mariners selected Ackley with the No. 2 overall pick in 2009, but things never quite came together for him in Seattle, as he produced a disappointing .243/.306/.366 batting line over 584 games. The Yankees will have to hope that the change of scenery will make a difference for him. He could be a possibility to get some looks at second base over Stephen Drew.
