Jeremy Hill exited the Bengals' preseason finale Thursday night with an elbow injury.

The Bengals certainly pushed their luck in this one. They gave second-rounder Hill a whopping 20 touches in two quarters. Hill generated 123 all-purpose yards, while catching all five of his targets in the passing game. He did blow a blitz pickup, which resulted in a Jason Campbell sack, but the usage was certainly promising. The elbow injury is believed to be minor. Hill's role remains uncertain for Week 1 against Baltimore, but there are certainly signs he'll get more touches than most people have forecasted.

Eli Manning completed 1-of-4 passes for zero yards in the Giants' preseason finale Thursday night.

That is, indeed, a real stat line. Eli finishes the preseason 20-of-41 (48.8 percent) passing for 188 yards (4.59 YPA), one touchdown, three fumbles (one lost), and five sacks absorbed. An offseason report from ESPN stated the Giants were concerned Eli had reached his decline phase. He's done nothing to diminish those worries in August. We can't even condone drafting him in two-QB leagues.

Colts G/T Joe Reitz was forced from Thursday's preseason finale with a high-ankle sprain.

The injury is to his left ankle. Reitz is one of the top reserves along the Colts' entire line, so it's a big blow. He's unlikely to return before October.

E.J. Manuel completed 3-of-7 passes for 56 yards in the Bills' preseason finale Friday night.

Clearly worried about their sophomore quarterback, Manuel was allowed to handle three drives in the exhibition finale. He didn't deliver, while losing Sammy Watkins to a rib aggravation. Manuel wraps the preseason 50-of-82 passing (60.2 percent) for 517 yards (6.30 YPA), one touchdown, three turnovers, and six sacks taken. We'll be streaming fantasy defenses against the Bills this year.

Sammy Watkins was forced from Thursday's preseason finale with a rib injury.

Watkins is technically questionable, but obviously won't return. Watkins got hurt trying to corral a slant that was "a good yard and a half ahead of him." E.J. Manuel "stared him down the whole way." Watkins then headed to the locker room. It's unclear if Watkins aggravated his previous rib issue, or suffered a new injury. It's ominous all around. Watkins hasn't shown outside of practice this summer, while Manuel has looked like one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL.

Lions second-round SLB Kyle Van Noy is recovering from surgery to "repair a core muscle injury," and is without a timetable for a return.

DetroitLions.com considers the No. 40 overall pick a candidate for injured reserve/designated to return. The Detroit Free Press estimates that he'll miss 4-6 weeks. Van Noy suffered the injury before the Lions' third preseason game. Van Noy was slated to be the Lions' strong-side linebacker, but at the very least, appears poised to miss all of September. Tahir Whitehead is the next man up on the depth chart.

Chris Polk (hamstring) is inactive for the Eagles' preseason finale.

Polk returned to practice last Saturday, but still isn't healthy enough to perform in a game setting. It's a potentially ominous sign for Polk's roster chances. He's going to end up missing the entire preseason. The Philly Inquirer recently forecasted Polk to make the final 53, but that's certainly become a question mark with Henry Josey and Matthew Tucker playing well. LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles are locks, and Kenjon Barner may be, too.

Blake Bortles started Thursday's preseason finale against the Falcons, completing 4-of-6 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown.

Bortles' score was a 57-yard strike to fellow rookie Marqise Lee. Bortles looked ahead of schedule all preseason, and finishes 32-of-51 for 521 yards (10.2 YPA), two touchdowns and zero interceptions. It's looking less and less likely that the Jags will be able to follow through on their plan to "redshirt" Bortles this season. Starter Chad Henne simply isn't good enough.
