Red Sox activated RHP Andrew Bailey from the 15-day disabled list.

Bailey missed three weeks with a right biceps injury. He will take back Boston's ninth-inning role and should be activated in fantasy leagues right out of the gate. The righty had a stellar 1.46 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 20/4 K/BB ratio in 12 1/3 innings before going down.

Red Sox optioned RHP Jose De La Torre to Triple-A Pawtucket.

De La Torre allowed two runs in two innings of relief with the Red Sox. He may get another shot later this year.

Reds activated RHP Johnny Cueto from the 15-day disabled list.

Cueto wound up missing a little over one month with a strained right lat and oblique soreness. He will return to the Reds' starting rotation on Monday against the Mets and can be activated immediately in fantasy leagues.

Reds optioned 1B Neftali Soto to Triple-A Louisville.

Soto was up in the majors for only a couple of days and saw just one plate appearance. He did not register a hit.

Wei-Yin Chen (oblique) will head to the Orioles' spring training complex Tuesday to begin his rehab.

Chen landed on the 15-day disabled list May 13 with a strained right oblique and can't pick up a baseball for at least another week. But he's allowed to do cardio work while he waits. The right-hander should be ready to rejoin the O's starting rotation in early June.

Ike Davis - 1B - Mets

Ike Davis is batting sixth for the Mets on Monday.

The Mets have tried moving Davis back to cleanup in an effort to change his mindset and get his bat going, but it hasn't worked. The 26-year-old first baseman is batting just .156/.238/.259 through 40 games this season.

Twins recalled LHP Caleb Thielbar from Triple-A Rochester.

Thielbar, a member of the independent St. Paul Saints just a couple years ago, was sporting a cool 3.76 ERA and 34/8 K/BB ratio in 26 1/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. He will serve as a middle reliever.

Twins optioned LHP Pedro Hernandez to Triple-A Rochester.

Hernandez had a rough 5.85 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 17/10 K/BB ratio through his first 32 1/3 innings. The Twins will add a new piece to their starting rotation on Friday.
