Coach Bruce Arians intimated Tramon Williams will be starting ahead of CB Justin Bethel for Week 7 against the Rams.

It has been looking like this was going to be the course of action all week. Per Arians, Williams is "in a bunch of packages, and he’ll be playing a bunch." Bethel has been getting flamed in coverage all year, allowing six touchdowns, two more than any other corner charted by Pro Football Focus, and is the site's No. 99 cover corner out of 108 qualifiers. Williams is 34 and coming off a horrific 2016 with the Browns, when he graded out as PFF's No. 102 cover man out of 120 corners. It's still a matchup to exploit. Williams should see a lot of Robert Woods on Sunday.

Coach Bruce Arians said CB Patrick Peterson (quad) has looked "fine" and will play Week 7 against the Rams.

Peterson had to be pulled from Week 6 against the Bucs and was limited in practice this week. However, he's ready to roll for his date with Sammy Watkins, who has been a complete non-factor since his big game against the 49ers a few Thursdays ago. Watkins will remain that way in Peterson's shadow coverage. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp have better matchups.

Jay Ajayi (knee) is not injured, but the Dolphins have been giving him rest and maintenance days on Thursdays each week.

Dating back to the 2015 draft, word leaked that Ajayi, a few years removed from ACL surgery at the time, may need constant maintenance on what was described as chronic soreness. And teams were also scared that it may shorten his career. The soreness part has come into play of late, and Miami is trying to compensate by giving him a day off practice each week so he can get treatment. Multiple missed days of practice would be a concern, but one day a week is fine, though OC Clyde Christensen thinks it has stunted Ajayi's pass-game development.

Andre Ellington (quad) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Ellington was limited Wednesday before being downgraded to DNP Thursday and Friday. Second in the league among running backs in targets over the past four weeks, Ellington has been a big asset in PPR leagues. But in Adrian Peterson's first game with the team last week, Ellington put up a zero.

Jalen Richard rushed nine times for 31 yards in the Raiders' Week 7 win over the Chiefs, adding four receptions for 45 additional yards.

Marshawn Lynch was ejected for shoving a referee in the second quarter, but neither Richard nor DeAndre Washington could take control of the Raiders' backfield. Richard out-touched D-Wash just 13-12, though he did out-gain him 76-40. Washington got a goal-line carry and score. If Lynch is suspended for Week 8, it will be hard to trust either Richard or Washington as more than a volatile FLEX option.

DeAndre Washington rushed nine times for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' Week 7 win over the Chiefs.

He added three catches for seven yards. Marshawn Lynch got ejected in the second quarter, but Washington still couldn't manage more than an even timeshare with Jalen Richard. D-Wash got the ball 12 times, Richard 13. Washington's score was a churning four-yarder that would have made Beast Mode proud. Washington refused to go down. If Lynch is suspended for Week 8 — he pushed a ref — Washington and Richard should continue to rotate, rendering both fantasy dart throws.

Demarcus Robinson caught 5-of-8 targets for 69 yards in the Chiefs' Week 7 loss to the Raiders.

A 2016 fourth-rounder, tonight was the most involved Robinson has ever been on offense. Pressed into duty by injuries in the Chiefs' receiver corps, Robinson made some nice chain-moving grabs. Robinson was a compiler in college, but that sort of role isn't available behind Kareem Hunt, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce in the Chiefs' big-play offense.

Albert Wilson scored a 63-yard touchdown in Kansas City's Week 7 loss to the Raiders.

Wilson's score was one of only two targets on the evening. It was as fluky of a touchdown as you will ever see, as Raiders DB Keith McGill should have had an interception. Instead, the ball clanged off his hands right into Wilson's mitts, who promptly housed it for the score. With the Chiefs running low on healthy wideouts, Wilson could have some WR5 appeal in the season's second half.
