Odell Beckham (hamstring) participated in on-field practice Tuesday for the first time since Aug. 21.

Sep 23 - 12:44 PM

Ravens waived RB Fitzgerald Toussaint.

Toussaint will revert back to the practice squad once he clears waivers. It's a sign that Bernard Pierce (thigh) should be ready for Week 4.
Sep 23 - 12:42 PM

Ravens re-signed WR Deonte Thompson.

Thompson and RB Fitzgerald Toussaint are doing the roster dance right now. It's a sign that Bernard Pierce (thigh) will be ready for Week 4.
Sep 23 - 12:32 PM

Panthers signed ILB D.J. Smith.

Smith comes up from the practice squad to take Mike Tolbert's place on the active roster. Still just 25 years old, he'll be quality depth and insurance if Thomas Davis (undisclosed) can't go.
Sep 23 - 12:22 PM

Panthers placed RB Mike Tolbert (leg) on injured reserve with a designation to return.

It means Tolbert is out until at least Week 13, and leaves the Panthers very thin at running back. DeAngelo Williams (hamstring) is on track to play in Week 4, but Jonathan Stewart (knee) is out and Fozzy Whittaker (quad) is in doubt. If DeAngelo can suit up anywhere near 100 percent, he'll be a good bet for 15-20 touches against the Ravens in Week 4. He'll also get more goal-line chances with Tolbert out and Cam Newton (ribs) hesitant to run.
Sep 23 - 12:16 PM

Coach Jay Gruden wouldn't rule out Kirk Cousins holding the starting job the rest of the season.

Robert Griffin III (ankle) is expected back in 6-8 weeks, but it's become increasingly clear that he's in serious danger of getting Pipped. Gruden's scheme is tailored to a pocket passer like Cousins, who was sensational at Philadelphia in Week 3. There's little reason to hold RG3 on fantasy benches.
Sep 23 - 12:00 PM

Ravens worked out free agent TE Kellen Davis.

The Ravens are looking for depth behind Owen Daniels after losing Dennis Pitta to a season-ending hip injury. Emmanuel Ogbuehi, Matt Mulligan, and UDFA Jake Murphy also visited on Tuesday.

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Chiefs SS Eric Berry has a high-ankle sprain.

If Berry has a real high-ankle sprain, he could be sidelined 4-6 weeks. But as we saw with Jamaal Charles, it's possible the Chiefs could be stretching the definition of "high-ankle sprain," and Berry could be back sooner. Ron Parker will continue to replace Berry opposite Husain Abdullah.
