Redskins UDFA RB Rob Kelley rushed 16 times for 99 yards and lost six yards on his lone reception in Wednesday's preseason finale.

Redskins No. 4 back Mack Brown (19-149-1) also had a big night. Kelley is the headliner, though, after beating out Keith Marshall and Matt Jones injured his shoulder. A decisive, downhill runner without great speed (4.68), Kelley finishes the preseason with 38 carries for 198 yards (5.21 YPC). The undrafted rookie out of Tulane is a deep sleeper in 12- and 14-team leagues.

Citing multiple sources, Tony Romo (back) could miss closer to 8-10 weeks than the initially reported 6-10.

In other words, the Cowboys shouldn't be expecting Romo back until the more pessimistic side of initial estimates. Romo will undergo anther MRI this weekend, and "those results will dictate whether the Cowboys carry him on the 53-man roster or place him on injured reserve," from which Romo could be designated for return later in the season. Romo is expected to be out through Week 6 at the soonest, and the Cowboys have a bye in Week 7. It's looking more and more like Dak Prescott is a certainty to start until midseason, at which the Cowboys could have another tough decision to make if Prescott plays well.

The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta says it's "never been in dispute" that Thomas Rawls (ankle) is the Seahawks' starter "when healthy."

More interestingly, Condotta says Rawls takes the first-team handoffs in Seahawks practice, ahead of Christine Michael. Although Michael has run almost exclusively with the ones in preseason games, Rawls is the favorite to lead Seattle in Week 1 carries assuming his ankle is cooperative. Another beat writer previously predicted Rawls would handle 15 carries in Week 1, and Michael 7.

The Steelers worked out free agent Karlos Williams.

It's the second confirmed visit for Williams, though he's reportedly had interest from five teams. His signing wouldn't be much of an upgrade to the Steelers depth given his four-game suspension. Williams isn't a lock to resurface before Week 1.

Cowboys WLB Sean Lee has restructured his contract.

Lee will convert $2 million of his salary into a bonus. It doesn’t save Dallas money this year, but is a nice reward after Lee bounced back last season. Lee can also earn $2 million in incentives.

Coach Pete Carroll said "there's no question" Thomas Rawls (ankle) will play in the season opener.

It's the second time Carroll has confirmed his Week 1 status. Rawls has resumed practicing fully, but his status for the preseason finale is unclear. Rawls' Week 1 role is shaping up as one of fantasy's biggest mysteries.

Coach Pete Carroll said Jimmy Graham's (knee) Week 1 status will be determined late next week.

"Jimmy has been practicing full-go," Carroll said. "We’ll just keep taking it day-to-day." This conflicts with an earlier report that Graham has been limited to individual drills in practice. Graham is going to miss the entire preseason, but he's starting to trend in the right direction. He remains questionable for Week 1.

Raiders DE Mario Edwards (hip) is a candidate to be the team's injured reserve-designated for return player.

Edwards has been sidelined since Oakland's preseason opener. He was given a 4-6 week timetable, but hasn't progressed as expected. Because Edwards participated in the early portion of training camp, he is not eligible to be placed on reserve/PUP. The injured reserve-designated for return designation would cost Edwards at least the first six games of the season.
