Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports that the Rays have acquired Peter Bourjos from the White Sox in exchange for cash considerations.

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times first reported that the two sides were working on a deal. Bourjos gives the Rays the right-handed hitting outfielder they were seeking, and he's capable of backing up at all three outfield positions. Slated to turn 30 later this week, Bourjos sports a career .243/.300/.382 batting line.

Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Rays are working on a trade for Peter Bourjos.

The Rays have been looking for a right-handed hitting outfielder who is capable of backing up in center field, and Bourjos would fit the bill. Bourjos is in White Sox camp as a non-roster invitee and is batting .313/.340/.521 during Cactus League play.

Jon Lester was charged with four runs over six innings against the Indians on Monday in his final spring tune-up.

Lester surrendered five hits, didn't walk anyone and struck out five batters. Abraham Almonte took the left-hander deep. The veteran left-hander hasn't been particularly sharp this spring with a 5.73 ERA, but that hardly matters. Lester will face the Cardinals Sunday on Opening Night.

Danny Salazar struck out nine while yielding two runs over 5 2/3 frames versus the Cubs on Monday.

We got the Full Salazar on Monday, as he piled up the strikeouts but also missed some spots and served up a pair of home runs. It's digestible when he surrenders the homers with no one on base as he did in this one, but that's not always the case. Salazar has had an uneven spring with a 4.85 ERA but 37 punchouts over 26 innings.

Willson Contreras launched a pair of solo homers against the Indians on Monday.

Both of the longballs came off of Danny Salazar and were Contreras' fourth and fifth during Cactus League play. Contreras is hitting .340 with a 1.137 OPS this spring and is arguably a top-five catcher in fantasy drafts.

Michael Foltynewicz allowed three runs on nine hits over 5 2/3 frames versus the Tigers on Monday.

The nine base knocks isn't pretty, but every one of them was a single and Folty didn't walk anyone while striking out four. It's an outing that could've spiraled out of control for him, but he mostly held it together. Foltynewicz made strides down the stretch last season and has picked up where he left off with a nice spring that includes a 2.66 ERA and 18/5 K/BB ratio over 23 2/3 innings. He has breakthrough potential in 2017 if he can consistently command his fastball.

Jim Bowden of ESPN and SiriusXM reports that Angel Pagan is expected to decided within the next 48 hours which team he will sign with.

Bowden hears that the Blue Jays, Giants, Padres, Braves and Tigers have all expressed interest in the veteran outfielder. Pagan has been holding out for a major league contract, although it's unclear if he'll receive one. The veteran outfielder batted .286/.324/.371 with a stolen base for Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic, which Bowden says "certainly helped his value." The 35-year-old batted .277/.331/.418 with 12 homers and 15 stolen bases over 129 games last season with the Giants.

Carlos Martinez held the Astros to two runs over five innings in his final spring tune-up Monday.

He yielded three hits and two walks while recording a pair of strikeouts. Martinez finishes Grapefruit League play with a sparkling 1.38 ERA across three starts, and he also put up a 1.13 ERA over two World Baseball Classic outings. The right-hander looks to be in fine form and he will take on the Cubs on Opening Night Sunday.
