Brandon Belt went 3-for-5 and hit his fourth homer Friday at Coors Field.

It's the fourth time in eight days that Belt has had three hits and homer. He's hitting .375 in May after coming in at .235 with no homers in April.

Matt Duffy hit his second homer as part of a 3-for-5 night against the Rockies on Friday.

Duffy has established himself as the Giants' best option at third base, for better or worse. He's not going to be much of an asset offensively, but he's certainly outplayed Casey McGehee to date.

D.J. LeMahieu went 2-for-4 and hit his second homer Friday against the Giants.

LeMahieu is bating .326, but between his placement at the bottom of the Rockies order and his poor baserunning, he's scored just 13 runs. Fortunately, he's driven in 20, which has resulted in some surprising early-season fantasy value.
May 23 - 1:32 AM

Chris Young spun six scoreless frames in Friday's 5-0 win over the Cardinals.

Young's hot start continues. The tall right-hander scattered six hits while walking two batters and striking out a pair. He has allowed a total of two runs over his four starts this season and owns a 0.78 ERA and 23/9 K/BB ratio in 34 2/3 innings on the year. Not bad for a guy who had to wait until March to sign with a team. Young will face an interesting test next week when he takes on the Yankees in New York.

Lance Lynn yielded five runs in six innings in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Lynn tied a season-high by giving up 10 hits, but Kendrys Morales did most of the damage with a pair of home runs. The right-hander struck out four and walked one to fall to 3-4 on the year. He'll look to get back into win column with a start against the Diamondbacks next week at home.
May 23 - 1:02 AM

Kendrys Morales went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a win over the Cardinals on Friday.

Providing the only offense of the game for either team, Morales connected for a three-run homer in the first inning and added a two-run shot in the third. It was the 13th multi-homer game of his career. After a miserable 2014 season, the 31-year-old is batting .305 with six home runs and an .864 OPS through 41 games. He leads the AL with 37 RBI.
May 23 - 1:01 AM

Salvador Perez went 3-for-4 in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Perez extended his hitting streak to eight games with a pair of singles and a double. The 25-year-old has only walked three times in 153 plate appearances, but it's hard to complain about a catcher who is hitting .302 with five home runs and 22 RBI through 39 games.
May 23 - 1:00 AM

Lorenzo Cain was 2-for-4 with two runs scored against the Cardinals on Friday.

Both hits were singles. Cain has slowed down from his red-hot April and has scuffled a bit against right-handed pitchers, but he's currently tied for third in the majors with 31 runs scored.
