Michael Bourn went 2-for-4 with a stolen base against the Rays on Tuesday.

Bourn was the only player on either team with multiple hits in the game. The steal was his sixth of the year and first since June 4. A brutal month of June has lowered Bourn's average to .228 with a .298 on-base percentage overall.

Manny Machado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, extending his hitting streak to 11 games in Monday's loss to the Rangers.

Machado cut the Orioles' deficit in half to 6-5 when he lifted a solo home run to right field in the fifth inning against Colby Lewis. The third baseman is having a career year, sitting on 16 home runs with 44 RBI, 11 stolen bases, 51 runs scored, and a .307/.363/.533 triple-slash line.

Jason Kipnis hit his sixth home run of the season in Tuesday's win over the Rays.

Kipnis hit the solo homer in the third inning to get the scoring started. He finished 1-for-5 in the game. The second baseman may lag behind Omar Infante in popularity, but he's having a terrific season at the plate. Kipnis is now hitting .346/.421/.515 with 33 RBI and 52 runs scored on the year.

Colby Lewis struggled but still got the win on Monday against the Orioles, allowing five runs (three earned) in six innings.

Lewis was victimized early when Chris Davis launched a two-run home run in the first inning. Davis repeated the performance in the third inning, and Manny Machado hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. The three home runs accounted for half of the hits Lewis gave up on the evening. He walked none and struck out three. The right-hander held the opposition to three earned runs or fewer in all six June starts and now owns a 4.13 ERA with a 1.19 WHIP and a 74/20 K/BB ratio over 100 1/3 innings. Lewis faces the Angels at home next.
Jun 30 - 10:02 PM

Shin-Soo Choo homered in Tuesday's victory against the Orioles, finishing 1-for-4 with a walk.

Choo hit the second of two fifth-inning solo home runs against Miguel Gonzalez. The outfielder has homered in consecutive games, giving him 10 on the season with 34 RBI and a .232/.315/.395 batting line.
Jun 30 - 9:58 PM

Erasmo Ramirez suffered a tough-luck loss Tuesday, allowing one run over 5 2/3 innings against the Indians.

Ramirez allowed just two hits on the night, but one was a solo homer by Jason Kipnis. He also walked one while striking out seven. The loss, undeserved as it was, was just his third of the year and his first since May 24. The right-hander continues to pitch well in his new Tampa digs, now owning a 4.01 ERA and 1.14 WHIP on the year. He'll try to get back in the win column Sunday at the Yankees.
Jun 30 - 9:58 PM

Giovanny Urshela hit a three-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Rays.

The homer was his second of the season, giving him seven RBI on the year. He finished 1-for-4 in the game. Urshela has quietly strung together hits in nine straight games to raise his overall line to .271/.317/.373.

Michael Cuddyer admitted that he was "definitely concerned" about the left knee injury that forced him from Tuesday's game versus the Cubs.

Cuddyer said he first felt pain in the knee while running to first base after his first plate appearance, but he wasn't removed until the seventh. The veteran outfielder will undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the extent of the damage, but it sounds like a trip to the disabled list could be in the offing.
