Leonys Martin left Monday's game versus the Astros in the fifth inning with an apparent injury.

Martin appeared to hurt his wrist earlier in the game while trying to make a catch. He stayed in the game initially but eventually had to be pulled. The Rangers should have more on his status shortly.

Chris Denorfia exited Monday's game versus the Cardinals after aggravating his left hamstring injury.

He pulled up lame while going first to third on a single. Denorfia began the season on the disabled list with the hamstring issue and it's just never fully healed. He could be headed back to the DL.

Jose Reyes will have an MRI this weekend to see how his cracked rib has healed.

He'll remain shut down from baseball activities until that point, but the hope is that he'll be cleared to work out again after the exam. "We're going to try to give it as much time as we can, the MRI, to see if the rib is completely healed," Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said. "If it has and he feels good, we'll get him going. We just want to give it that much more time."

Dioner Navarro recently felt some more tightness in his ailing left hamstring while rehabbing at the Blue Jays' spring training complex.

It's not clear at this point how big of a setback it is, but obviously he's not going to be returning for a while. Navarro has already been on the shelf for a couple weeks.

Mariners placed OF Julio Morban on the restricted list.

Morban is dealing with a personal issue, although more details aren't available. It's not clear how long he might be away. Morban is hitting just .194/.315/.323 between Double- and Triple-A this season.

Hanley Ramirez has been diagnosed with a left shoulder sprain.

The Red Sox aren't providing anything more at the moment, but they should have another update on Ramirez's status after Monday's game. Hanley was injured when he crashed into the side wall while trying to chase down a flyball. It seems likely that he'll require a trip to the disabled list, but it's too soon to speculate about the seriousness of the ailment at the moment.

Mariners purchased the contract of RHP Mark Lowe from Triple-A Tacoma.

The veteran right-hander had allowed one run over nine innings for Tacoma, boasting an 11/1 K/BB ratio. Lowe will work in middle relief for the M's.

Jeff Karstens announced his retirement from baseball on Monday.

Karstens is just 32, but his career went off track after a series of shoulder injuries. He was a solid, albeit unspectacular pitcher for parts of seven major league seasons, posting a 4.44 ERA and 1.33 WHIP for the Pirates and Yankees. Karstens hadn't pitched in the majors since 2012.
