Lions will waive K Nate Freese.

The Bears remain optimistic that Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) will play in Monday night's game against the Jets.

The Bears have been expecting each of their starting wideouts to play all week. In fact, there's reason to believe they're healthier now than they were against the 49ers when they combined for eight catches, 95 yards and three touchdowns. We'll have official word around 7pm ET.

Dan Bailey has set a franchise record for consecutive field goals made with 28.

Fantasy owners aren't going to find many better options than Bailey on a week-to-week basis. He plays for an explosive offense in a kicker-friendly stadium and has gone 7-of-8 on field goals from 50+ over the last two seasons. Fire Bailey up for a potential shootout with the Saints in Week 4.

Bills special teamer Marcus Easley (knee) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Easley sprained his MCL in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. He already had four solo tackles in kick coverage this season.

The Bucs expect RE Michael Johnson (ankle) to return for Week 4 against the Steelers.

The Bucs' $43 million free agent add missed Week 2 and then played just seven snaps in Thursday's loss to the Falcons. The long week should help get Johnson right and Gerald McCoy (hand) is also expected back.
Sep 22 - 10:53 AM

The Bucs are reportedly confident that Doug Martin (knee) will return for Week 4 against the Steelers.

Martin was a late scratch last Thursday night, giving Bobby Rainey a chance to run toward the lead of this committee. Instead, Rainey lost two fumbles, averaged 3.72 YPC and the Bucs got whipped 56-14 by the Falcons. In other words, things couldn't have gone much better for Martin owners. If truly healthy, he'll likely start against a Steelers defense that is both shaky and injured.

MarQueis Gray was the Vikings' primary pass-catching tight end after Kyle Rudolph (groin) left late in Sunday's loss to the Saints.

Gray, an H-back type, saw no targets on 11 snaps. If Rudolph is going to miss time, the Vikings will theoretically need to force feed Cordarrelle Patterson more. They've oddly shown no urgency in that department yet.

Frank Gore told reporters he was too upset to talk following Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.

Gore finished with 10 yards on six carries and got just one carry in the second half as the 49ers went pass-heavy. It's unclear if he was upset about his lack of usage or about the loss that sunk the 49ers to 1-2. Either way, the meager carries were a result of not wanting to challenge the Cardinals' stout run defense. Expect Gore to be back around 11-15 touches against the Eagles in Week 4.
