Jarrett Jack made his season debut against the Mavs on Saturday, scoring six points with four assists and one steal in 25 minutes.

Not a bad way to kick off his season after getting a deal on Friday. Jack suffered an ACL tear on Jan. 2, 2016, so he had almost 14 months to rehab. The Pelicans have some major depth issues at guard, so maybe Jack can stick around to help make a playoff push. Although, E'Twaun Moore (personal) returning could hurt his chances of that happening.

Reggie Williams scored two points in 16 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday.

The Pelicans brought him back after they waived him on New Year's Day. Williams may not be in the rotation once E'Twaun Moore can return.

Donatas Motiejunas was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

This signing just isn't working out and it was a bit misguided from the get-go because the Pelicans wanted him to space the floor a la Channing Frye. Motiejunas is not going to have value while the frontcourt is healthy.

Nene returned to the bench on Saturday vs. the Wolves, scoring 11 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks.

He will draw the occasional start depending on the matchup, but he's also a candidate to rest on any given night. Nene is just a low-end streaming option on the nights that he enters the first unit.

Solomon Hill played 36 minutes with two points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal against the Mavs on Saturday.

The playing time will certainly be there, but the usage rate will not. He's going to log most of his minutes next to DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday, so he won't be an option unless he's wide open or as a cutter.
Feb 26 - 12:00 AM

Clint Capela was back in the starting lineup on Saturday vs. the Wolves, scoring 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

Coach Mike D'Antoni isn't afraid to mix up his starting center depending on the matchup, but Capela is always the best bet to produce. He grabbed nine rebounds in 22 minutes, adding two assists, one steal and one block. His playing time has been limited lately and he's only playing 20.2 minutes per game over his last five, but he's still averaging 12.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.8 steals in that span. He's worth owning despite the timeshare at center.

Hollis Thompson did not score in 25 minutes with two rebounds, three assists and one steal during his start against the Mavs on Saturday.

With E'Twaun Moore (personal) out, Thompson was the choice to start over Reggie Williams. Obviously this game won't help him get another start or get a second 10-day deal when the time comes.
Feb 25 - 11:57 PM

Tim Frazier scored two points with one assist in 10 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday.

According to the broadcast, Frazier was dealing with a wrist injury during this game, which he originally suffered on Thursday. Even without the wrist issue, his outlook obviously doesn't look good right now. Jarrett Jack signing looks like it'll affect Frazier negatively.
