Ervin Santana pitched six innings of one-run ball Saturday in beating the Phillies.

Santana has pitched well in three of his four starts this spring. We don't like his chances of amassing much fantasy value in front of the lousy Twins defense, but at least he'll be an upgrade over what they got from the middle of their rotation last year.

Blaine Boyer finished off the Phillies with a perfect ninth inning Saturday.

Boyer hasn't officially won a spot yet, but he's almost certain to be a part of the Twins' pen on Opening Day. He's allowed two runs in 10 2/3 innings this spring. Last year, he had a 3.57 ERA in 40 1/3 innings for the Padres.

Jerome Williams dropped to 0-3 this spring after giving up six runs -- four earned -- in four innings Saturday against the Twins.

Williams has surrendered 11 runs -- eight earned -- and 19 hits over seven innings in his last two starts. You already know to stay far away from him in NL-only leagues, right?
Mar 28 - 3:49 PM

Ken Giles bounced back from Thursday's poor outing with a perfect inning Saturday against the Twins.

Giles gave up four runs against the Blue Jays two days ago. He had walked a total of seven batters in 7 1/3 innings this spring, but he managed to find the strike zone today.

White Sox reassigned LHP Zach Phillips to minor league camp.

Phillips wasn't expected to crack the team's Opening Day roster, but should provide sold bullpen depth at the Triple-A level, provided he doesn't decide to return to Japan.
Mar 28 - 3:25 PM

White Sox optioned RHP Daniel Webb to Triple-A Charlotte.

Once thought of as the team's closer of the future, the 25-year-old posted a troublesome 8.68 ERA and 2.25 WHIP in 9 1/3 innings in the spring. He should get an opportunity with the White Sox at some point during the upcoming season.
Mar 28 - 3:23 PM

Didi Gregorius (wrist) sprained his left wrist in Saturday's Grapefruit League contest and is heading for precautionary X-rays.

The Yankees don't believe that the injury is serious, but are sending him for X-Ray to be sure. If he isn't available for the start of the regular season, the Yankees could slide Stephen Drew over to shortstop.
Mar 28 - 3:08 PM

Rockies optioned RHP Jairo Diaz, INF Christian Adames and OF Kyle Parker to minor league camp.

Diaz could have secured a spot in the Rockies bullpen to begin the season, but posted a 7.11 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 4/3 K/BB ratio over 6 1/3 innings in Cactus League play. He should get an opportunity to work out of the Rockies bullpen at some point during the upcoming season.
