Tuesday's game between the Orioles and Rays has been postponed due to inclement weather in Baltimore.

Alex Cobb was scheduled to face off against Jake Faria at Camden Yards. The game will be made up with a doubleheader on May 12. Cobb and Faria figure to pitch Wednesday night, with the forecast looking more favorable.

Orlando Arcia (ankle) remains out of the Brewers' starting lineup on Tuesday night.

Arcia sprained his right ankle on Friday and will take another day of rest. Eric Sogard is starting at shortstop and batting ninth Tuesday versus the Royals and right-hander Ian Kennedy.

Rockies designated RHP Zach Jemiola for assignment.

Jemiola had not made an appearance this season at Triple-A Albuquerque, where he was optioned in mid-March. He's presumably working through an injury.

Rockies optioned RHP Scott Oberg to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Oberg had allowed eight earned runs in 11 innings this season out of the Colorado bullpen. Brooks Pounders will take his spot in middle relief.
Apr 24 - 4:45 PM

Rockies purchased the contract of RHP Brooks Pounders from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Pounders will join the Rockies' bullpen ahead of Tuesday night's game against the Padres. The 27-year-old right-hander holds a hideous 9.78 ERA in 24 career appearances at the major league level.

Jonathan Schoop (oblique) hit off a tee, took grounders, and threw on Tuesday.

It sounds like he could return to the Orioles' active roster by this weekend. The power-hitting second baseman has been sidelined since April 14 because of a Grade 1 right oblique strain.

Tim Beckham underwent an MRI on his groin Tuesday.

It sounds like he is going to be placed on the disabled list, even if there is no major structural damage. Beckham initially injured his groin at spring training and then aggravated it in Monday's loss to the Indians. The 28-year-old has batted just .179/.247/.262 through 23 games this season.
Apr 24 - 4:32 PM

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Tuesday that Josh Donaldson (shoulder) could get into some rehab games by the end of this week.

There is expected to be a more detailed plan announced Wednesday. Donaldson was placed on the disabled list April 13, retroactive to April 11, because of inflammation in his right (throwing) shoulder. Yangervis Solarte continues to fill in at the hot corner for Toronto.
