Yasmani Grandal went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 4-0 victory against the Nationals.

Grandal has hit safely in 10 straight games, going 14-for-40 (.350) with six runs scored, two homers, 11 RBI and five walks during the impressive streak. He'll work against RHP Jeremy Hellickson on Sunday in the series finale. He doesn't have a long history against the righty, but he is 3-for-6 with a double and a solo home run in their brief encounters.
Apr 22 - 3:21 AM

Stephen Strasburg allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks with a season-high 10 strikeouts over seven innings in a road loss against the Dodgers.

Strasburg's only two mistakes were solo homers to Joc Pederson and Enrique Hernandez, but that was enough to turn a quality start into a loss. Hyun-Jin Ryu was tossing up donuts on the other side and was just a touch better. Strasburg has three quality starts in five outings this season, and he'll look to keep it going on Friday against Zack Godley and the Diamondbacks at Nationals Park.
Apr 22 - 2:59 AM

Joc Pederson finished 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's home win against the Nationals.

Pederson's homer was impressive, as it came off of fireballer Stephen Strasburg in the second winning to open the scoring. After a 4-for-27 (.148) start over his first 13 games he has picked up the pace with a pair of multi-hit outings over his past three contests. While he still isn't worth touching outside of deeper NL-only fantasy leagues right now, watch his progress this week. If he stays hot he'll be worth plucking off the waiver wire in all NL formats.
Apr 22 - 2:45 AM

Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed just two hits and three walks over seven scoreless innings while striking out eight batters Saturday against the Nationals.

Ryu has posted three consecutive quality starts, posting a 3-0 record with a 0.95 ERA, six hits, four walks and 25 strikeouts over 19 innings during the impressive span. The southpaw will look to continue his winning ways in his next scheduled start in a favorable matchup against Derek Holland and the Giants at AT&T Park on Friday.
Apr 22 - 2:39 AM

Jefry Marte finished Saturday's 4-3 win against the Giants with a solo home run in two at-bats.

Marte was lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning, but not before he raised his season average to .371. After a blistering start to the season Marte has cooled off a bit, although this was his first homer of the 2018 campaign. He'll look to keep it going in Sunday's series finale against RHP Johnny Cueto.
Apr 22 - 2:22 AM

Mike Trout finished 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a solo home run in Saturday's 4-3 victory against San Francisco.

Trout entered the game with three total extra-base hits over his past eight outings. The three extra-base hits were his most in a single game since he also had two doubles and a home run in a game June 27, 2016 against Houston. RHP Johnny Cueto will look to cool off Trout in Sunday's series finale. Trout is just 1-for-6 (.167) with a strikeout in their brief dealings.
Apr 22 - 2:19 AM

Albert Pujols finished Saturday's game against the Giants with a two-run home run across four at-bats.

Pujols is up to 2,992 career hits, and his latest hit was a homer off of Derek Holland, a familiar face from his days in Texas. The slugger is 12-for-40 (.300) with three doubles, five homers and 11 RBI in his career against the veteran southpaw Holland. Next up is a date with Giants RHP Johnny Cueto in the series finale on Sunday.
Apr 22 - 2:14 AM

Keynan Middleton allowed one hit in 1 1/3 scoreless innings while recording three strikeouts for his fifth save of the season Saturday against the Giants.

Middleton has thrown 58 pitches over his past two appearances, but those outings have come over the span of four days. If a save chance pops up on Sunday he should likely be available. While he has allowed 10 hits with four walks over 12 innings across his 10 appearances, he has converted all five of his save chances and is useful in all AL-only fantasy leagues and some mixed formats.
