Ravens LT Eugene Monroe (shoulder) and LG Kelechi Osemele (knee) are unlikely to play after missing practice Saturday.
Neither player has practiced all week. With Jeremy Zuttah already on injured reserve, Baltimore will be without three starters on the offense line as well as their three best offensive players in Joe Flacco (knee), Justin Forsett (arm) and Steve Smith (Achilles). This has been a season to forget for the Ravens.
Emmanuel Sanders said he has good chemistry with Brock Osweiler.
"Peyton hasn’t been going on Wednesdays, so I’ve had an opportunity to go with Brock and it’s definitely paid off," Sanders said. "Today we connected on a couple of deep balls that we were working on. I texted him last night about what I’m seeing and what he’s seeing, so it’s going to pay off." Sanders has yet to catch a regular-season pass from Osweiler, so the talk of chemistry is just that. Osweiler attempted just 27 passes against Chicago last week, and Denver will likely try to limit his attempts and focus on the run game whenever they can. In a tough matchup with an uncertain workload, Sanders is more of a WR3 this week.
Vikings FS Harrison Smith (knee) has been ruled out for Week 12 against the Falcons.
Smith played through the same injury last week and all reports suggested he would play, so this is a bit of a surprise. Antone Exum replaced Smith in the snaps he missed against the Packers and will likely start this week. Trae Waynes (ankle) has also been ruled out.
Browns OC John DeFilippo refused to rule out Johnny Manziel playing again this season.
"We're a long way from the end of the season," DeFilippo said. "To say that Johnny Manziel will not play again this season, I'm not ready to say that." Manziel should ride the bench as long as Josh McCown is healthy, but McCown has been anything but this season. Manziel is currently behind Austin Davis on the depth chart, but it would say a lot about Manziel's future in Cleveland if Davis replaced an injured McCown in the starting lineup.
Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said LG Evan Mathis (ankle) will be a game-time decision.
Mathis has been dealing with injuries most of the season and injured his ankle late last week against Chicago. Rookie Max Garcia has been getting regular snaps in a reserve role and would start if Mathis cannot play.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said Ameer Abdullah is "taking care of the ball better."
Abdullah has zero fumbles in his last five games after fumbling four times in the first six. The improved ball security has led to more playing time. Abdullah had a career-high 16 rushing attempts Thanksgiving against the Eagles and has 30 touches the last two games. If he can continue to see around 15 looks a week, Abdullah can return RB3 value the rest of the way.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes Matt Cassel is more prepared to be the starting quarterback.
"Now he's gotten the benefit of being here all of this time playing in the games, and he will be able to do more, we'll be able to do more with our offense," Jones said. "We can plan on that. He's very capable, we were very fortunate he was available to us when Tony went down." It is unclear what Cassel did in two weeks as Tony Romo's (broken collarbone) backup to become a quality starter, but he is Dallas' only hope at this point. Cassel does not need to be added except in the deepest of formats.
CSN New England's Michael Giardi reports Danny Amendola (knee) is not expected to travel with the team to Denver.
Reports surfaced Friday night Amendola would not make the trip, but New England was not expected to make the final decision until after Amendola worked out Saturday morning. It appears they did not see what they needed to in the workout, and Amendola will not suit up against the Broncos. Amendola's absence leaves New England very thin at receiver. Keshawn Martin (hamstring, questionable) should see the majority of the snaps if he is active, and Chris Harper should have a decent sized role as well. Neither is worth starting against the best pass defense in the league. Amendola being close this week suggests he should be good to go Week 13.
