Royals optioned OF Paulo Orlando to Triple-A Omaha.

The 29-year-old has struggled mightily in his time with the Royals this season, slashing just .177/.207/.215 with no homers, five RBI and a 23/3 K/BB ratio over 82 plate appearances. He'll look to get back on track at Triple-A.

Royals activated 1B Lucas Duda from the 10-day disabled list.

He had been sidelined since May 14 due to plantar fasciitis on his right foot. Prior to landing on the disabled list, he was hitting .256/.317/.398 with four homers and 19 RBI. With Hunter Dozier sticking around, it's not yet clear how exactly the playing time will shake out at first base upon Duda's return.

Red Sox recalled INF Tzu-Wei Lin from Triple-A Pawtucket.

With Xander Bogaerts sidelined on Saturday with a finger injury, Lin will provide extra infield depth. He has hit just .188 (6-for-32) in 14 games for the Red Sox this season.

Red Sox optioned LHP Robby Scott to Triple-A Pawtucket.

It was a short stay with the big league club for the left-hander, who will head back to Triple-A to function as addiitonal bullpen. He should get another opportunity with the big league club later this summer.

Giants recalled INF/OF Austin Slater from Triple-A Sacramento.

The 25-year-old has appeared in six games for the Giants this season, going 3-for-11 (.273) with a 4/4 K/BB ratio in 16 plate appearances. With Mac Williamson out of the picture, it's unclear if Slater or Hunter Pence will handle the bulk of the action in left field.

Giants optioned OF Mac Williamson to Triple-A Sacramento.

Williamson simply hasn't been the same player since returning from the disabled list, slashing a putrid .187/.291/.280 with one homer, five RBI and a 24/11 K/BB ratio in 23 games. He'll look to regain his form at Triple-A.
Jun 23 - 1:10 PM

Gleyber Torres was held out of the Yankees' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

It's just a routine day of rest for the 21-year-old phenom. After lighting the world on fire upon his callup, he has come back to earth a bit in the month of June, hitting just .212/.288/.470 with five homers, eight RBI and a 21/6 K/BB ratio over his last 19 games. Neil Walker will start in his place at the hot corner and bat nine for the Bombers on Saturday.
Jun 23 - 1:05 PM

Jose Peraza is not in the Reds' starting lineup for Saturday afternoon's contest against the Cubs.

It looks to be a routine day off for the speedy shortstop who swiped three bases in Friday's game. Alex Blandino will start in his place at shortstop and bat leadoff against Luke Farrell and the Cubs on Saturday.
