Keenan Allen (ankle, collarbone) has been ruled out for Week 16 against the 49ers.

As expected. Seyi Ajirotutu will fill the No. 3 receiver role behind Malcom Floyd and Eddie Royal. Look for Antonio Gates to see a bump in targets. Those hanging onto Allen in re-draft leagues can safely cut ties with him.
Dec 17 - 4:07 PM

Calvin Johnson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

The Lions have been limiting Johnson's practice reps the last three weeks. He'll be a top-three receiver play for Sunday's game with the Bears.
Dec 17 - 4:06 PM

Andre Johnson (concussion) practiced on Wednesday.

Johnson was inactive last week due to his concussion. He's expected to return for Sunday's matchup with the Ravens. Johnson isn't a recommended fantasy option with Case Keenum or Thad Lewis expected to start this week.
Dec 17 - 4:01 PM

49ers waived LE Ray McDonald.

It's been a long time coming for McDonald. Wednesday's announcement that McDonald is a suspect in an alleged rape from last week that took place at his home was the final straw for the 49ers. It also helps that they're out of the playoff race. McDonald has had a number of off-field red flags, ranging from DUI, all-night partying, felony domestic violence arrest in August, and now this. The 49ers will eat over $4.6 million in dead money against the 2015 salary cap by releasing him.

Yahoo! Sports' Rand Getlin reports Oregon senior CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu suffered a "serious knee injury" -- believed to be a torn ACL -- in practice Tuesday.

Ekpre-Olomu is believed to be one of the top cornerbacks available in the 2015 draft. He was expected to be a first- or second-round pick. At 5'10/185, he projects as an ideal slot corner at the NFL level. If it's a torn ACL, Ekpre-Olomu won't be available until midseason next year. Now-Jaguars CB Aaron Colvin tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl last year and made his NFL debut in November.
Dec 17 - 3:32 PM

Harry Douglas (foot) did not practice Wednesday.

The Falcons are getting Douglas a rest day. Roddy White (knee) was also held out of practice. Douglas will remain a WR2 option if Julio Jones (hip) doesn't return this week.
Dec 17 - 3:30 PM

DeAngelo Williams (hand) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Williams is on track to return this week after sitting out the last two games. He'll cut into Jonathan Stewart's workload, but won't be a fantasy option.
Dec 17 - 3:20 PM

Jordan Matthews (knee) is practicing in full for Week 16 against the Redskins.

Matthews is coming off a goose egg on one target in Week 15. He'd make for an intriguing DFS play after back-to-back down weeks. The Redskins' secondary is brutal.
