Dodgers prospect Walker Buehler gave up one run on one hit in five innings of work for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

Buehler looked much better in his second outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City, although considering he didn't get an out in his first start that may not be saying much. In all seriousness, Buehler looks ready to go, and the recent reports that suggest he could make a move to the bullpen make sense. Even if he's not getting saves, he can help a fantasy team because of his ability to miss bats and keep the baseball in the ballpark.

Cardinals optioned RHP Mike Mayers to Triple-A Memphis.

Mayers was only up in the majors for a night and did not make an appearance. Thursday's starter Luke Weaver will take his spot on the 25-man roster.

Mets prospect Amed Rosario went 4-for-5 on Wednesday for Triple-A Las Vegas.

Rosario also scored twice and knocked in a run. There are reports that he'll receive a call-up after the deadline, which is obviously good news, even if it is a month or two later than it should have happened. Whenever the call is made, you should be ready to pick Rosario up, if you haven't already.

White Sox prospect Michael Kopech gave up just one run on two hits in six innings on Wednesday for Double-A Birmingham.

Kopech also struck out 12, and most importantly, only walked two. Control is the biggest -- and maybe the only -- issue that can truly keep him from becoming an ace. His stuff is better than any pitcher in the minors right now. It's unlikely he pitches for Chicago in 2017, but a few more starts like this and they may just give him a chance.

Twins acquired LHP Gabriel Moya from the Diamondbacks for C John Ryan Murphy.

Moya, 22, has posted an impressive 0.82 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, and 68/12 K/BB ratio across 43 2/3 innings this season at the Double-A level. He's a nice relief prospect for Minnesota.

Diamondbacks transferred OF Yasmany Tomas from the 10-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

It's a paperwork move to clear a 40-man roster spot for catcher John Ryan Murphy, who was acquired from the Twins on Thursday. Tomas is eligible to return from the 60-day disabled list August 3, but it doesn't appear he'll be ready on that date. He had a setback earlier this month with his strained right groin and has not resumed playing in minor league rehab games.

Diamondbacks acquired C John Ryan Murphy from the Twins for LHP Gabriel Moya.

Murphy has spent the entire 2017 season at Triple-A, slashing just .222/.298/.330 with four home runs and 27 RBI over 59 games. The 26-year-old catcher will be organizational depth for Arizona.

MLB.com's Mark Feinsand reports that the Twins are "fielding calls" on Ervin Santana and Jaime Garcia.

Minnesota could also move second baseman Brian Dozier and closer Brandon Kintzler ahead of Monday's trade deadline. Santana, a 2017 American League All-Star, boasts a 3.37 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 104/47 K/BB ratio in 136 1/3 innings this season and he leads all MLB pitchers with three shutouts. The 34-year-old right-hander is due $13.5 million in 2018 and he carries a $14 million vesting option for 2019. Garcia was just acquired from the Braves, but the Twins have suddenly lost four straight games.
