Jason Heyward went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's Cactus League loss to the Rockies.

Heyward rocked German Marquez for a two-run home run with one out in the sixth inning. It was his second dinger of the spring. Heyward has adjusted his swing in the hopes of generating more consistency during the coming season, but until he offers proof of concept -- he has largely struggled in Cactus League play -- he will remain nothing more than a filler outfield option for fantasy purposes.

German Marquez turned in a quality start against the Cubs in Saturday's Cactus League game, yielding two runs on five hits over six innings.

Strong work from Marquez, who finished his afternoon having struck out six. Jason Heyward took him deep for a two-run home run in the sixth inning to account for the pair of runs on his line. The 22-year-old holds a 6.00 ERA in five games this spring. While he could still potentially crack the Opening Day rotation, the more likely outcome for Marquez to start the season will be a minor league assignment.
Mar 25 - 7:46 PM

Brett Anderson turned in a respectable outing in Saturday's Cactus League loss to the Rockies, surrendering one earned run over four innings.

Anderson did allow six hits, but mostly managed to stay out of trouble. He struck out two and walked one in the outing. The 29-year-old southpaw will be working as the fifth starter in the Cubs' rotation this coming season. There is little fantasy appeal, here. Anderson has thrown more than 100 innings just once in the last six campaigns.

Robbie Grossman (groin) could return to the Twins' lineup on Monday or Tuesday.

Grossman has been sidelined for the past week while nursing groin tightness but seems to be feeling much better. Barring a setback, he'll be fine for Opening Day. The 27-year-old is in line to be the Twins' fourth outfielder.

Albert Pujols went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Diamondbacks.

Pujols connected for homer No. 2 of the spring against Taijuan Walker in the very first inning. After he underwent surgery to repair plantar fascitis during the offseason, the Angels have been slowly working him back into the fold this spring. Pujols is no longer the all-around fantasy destroy of worlds that he was in his youth, but still offers legitimate power upside, having socked 31 homers and driven in 119 runs during the 2016 campaign. If he is to come close to those numbers again, health will be critical for the veteran during the coming season.

Ehire Adrianza left Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles after fouling a ball off his foot.

It's the second day in a row a Twins player has injured himself fouling a ball off his foot after Kennys Vargas did the same thing on Friday (that was also against Baltimore). Adrianza grounded out in his only at-bat before exiting. Benji Gonzalez replaced Adrianza at second base in the bottom half of the third inning.

Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-3 with a double in Saturday's Cactus League loss to the Angels.

Goldy's double off Tyler Skaggs was his first two-bagger of the spring. You can expect plenty more come the regular season, as the top-tier fantasy bat is coming off a 2016 season in which he hit .299/.398/.525 with 24 home runs, 95 RBI and 32 steals over the course of 579 at-bats.
Mar 25 - 7:23 PM

Tyler Skaggs allowed one run on four hits over four innings in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Diamondbacks.

Skaggs struck out three and did not walk a batter on the afternoon. The lone run to score on his watch came home in the third inning. Skaggs has dealt with a shoulder injury this spring, but it would appear that he is beginning to round into form with an eye on a possible spot in the Opening Day rotation.
