Patriots OG Jonathan Cooper (foot) returned to practice Monday.

Cooper was carted off the field with a right foot injury very early in camp. Returning now is a good sign for his Week 1 availability, and he could still have a shot to lock down the right guard job, a spot which has seen three different starters this preseason. Joe Thuney is locked in at left guard.

Saints coach Sean Payton said 2015 first-rounder Andrus Peat could be moved to left guard.

The Saints planned to use Peat on the right side -- either at guard or tackle -- this season, but he has struggled at both positions. "He hasn't played very well over on that right side, so we've got to keep looking and pay close attention to it," Payton said. "I know what he can do well, and we've got to find a way to be at a high enough level inside. And I think we can get that done." The offensive line has struggled mightily in the preseason, and the guard spots are a big reason why. The Saints could look to add a veteran like newly-released OG Geoff Schwartz in the next couple days.

ESPN Lions reporter Michael Rothstein believes Anquan Boldin would benefit if TE Eric Ebron (ankle) was forced to miss time.

Ebron is expected to be ready for Week 1, but the Lions will be in trouble at tight end if he is not able to play. One solution could be to give Boldin a bigger role on passing downs. Even if Ebron sits, Boldin is nothing more than a back-end roster filler in PPR leagues playing behind Marvin Jones and Golden Tate.

Dez Bryant (concussion) said he feels "unstoppable."

"I'm going to catch anything that's thrown to me," Bryant added. Dez returned to practice Sunday after missing almost a week with concussion-like symptoms, although the star receiver does not think he actually suffered a concussion. Either way, he should be fully healthy well before Week 1. Even with Tony Romo (back) out, Bryant remains a solid WR1.

Broncos officially announced Trevor Siemian as their starting quarterback.

#AsExpected. Despite entering the offseason as the heavy underdog to Mark Sanchez, the 2015 seventh-rounder simply outplayed the veteran throughout training camp and the preseason. Showing a good understanding of the offense and a willingness to push the ball downfield, it is not crazy to think Siemian could perform as well as Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler did for the Broncos last season. With the starting job now set, the focus turns to the battle between first-rounder Paxton Lynch and Sanchez for the No. 2 job. Sanchez did not play in the third preseason game, and it appears likely he will be cut this week.

Titans coach Mike Mularkey said Marcus Mariota will play Thursday.

"My feelings right now are a series," Mularkey said. "That’s as I stand here. That may change, but right now I think one series." There is not much to gain from playing Mariota and the rest of the starters a series in the preseason finale, but the Titans are doing it anyway. Hopefully Mariota escapes unscathed.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Broncos WR Cody Latimer's knee injury is a "minor sprain."

Latimer suffered the injury in the third preseason game. A disappointment since being selected in the second round in 2014, Latimer will not have a big role even if he is ready for Week 1.

Lions released OG Geoff Schwartz.

Signed to a one-year deal in March, it is not a great sign Schwartz failed to earn a spot in a disappointing interior line group. As it turns out, the Lions' trade for Brandon Thomas Sunday could have spelled the end for Schwartz. A veteran with plenty of starting experience, he should latch on somewhere else in the near future.
