Colts signed OLB Robert Mathis to a one-year contract extension.

33-year-old Mathis was suspended the first four games of the season for PEDs and is currently on the NFI list with a torn Achilles. He'll make $7 million between salary and bonuses next year. Mathis is now signed through 2016.

Patriots WR Brian Tyms has been reinstated from suspension.

Tyms is a name for deep-leaguers to monitor. He was spectacular in the preseason, grading out as PFF's No. 1 WR while posting a 11-188-2 line. Given that Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins both appear in the doghouse, we wouldn't rule out Tyms making an impact at some point.

Jets signed FB John Conner.

Conner will replace Tommy Bohanon, who suffered a broken clavicle in Sunday's loss. He spent part of the last two seasons with the Giants and was waived during final cuts.

Cowboys SLB Bruce Carter (quad) is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Texans.

Carter is considered "week to week." His loss is a downgrade to the Cowboys pass defense. Kyle Wilber will likely replace Carter in base sets

Ravens ILB Arthur Brown was a healthy scratch for the fourth consecutive game in Sunday's win over the Panthers.

C.J. Mosley has been an every-down player at the weak-side spot, but UDFA Zach Orr is active over Brown for his special teams value. The Ravens are "extremely unlikely" to trade Brown despite placing him on the trading block earlier this month. Brown was the 56th overall pick in 2013.

Jordan Reed (hamstring) was participating in individual work during Tuesday's practice.

Reed had been doing work on the side the last two weeks and likely needs to practice at least one day to play in Monday night's game against Seattle. Niles Paul (concussion) was also held out of Tuesday's practice, leaving Logan Paulsen to get reps with the first-team offense. Regardless, Reed needs to be owned in just about all formats as a true difference-making talent in the seam for Jay Gruden.

Redskins TE Niles Paul (concussion) is not practicing Tuesday.

Paul remains in the concussion protocol and should be considered questionable for Week 5. Jordan Reed's (hamstring) status is also up in the air. Logan Paulsen is currently Washington's only healthy tight end.
Sep 30 - 11:18 AM

Ben Tate (knee) is practicing Tuesday.

It's Tate's first practice since suffering a right knee sprain in Week 1. He was reportedly moving well, putting him on track to return as the starter for Sunday's tasty matchup with the Titans. Previous speculation had Tate handling about 60 percent of the running back carries, with impressive riser Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West getting the rest.
