Khris Davis went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, a walk, and a stolen base in Friday’s 3-0 victory over the White Sox.

Davis took Mike Pelfrey deep in the first inning to give Jharel Cotton an early lead. It was more than enough support on this night. Davis is now up to 19 homers and 48 RBI to go along with a .245/.325/.506 batting line.

Santiago Casilla danced around trouble against the White Sox on Friday to convert his 12th save of the season.

Casilla allowed back-to-back singles to begin the bottom of the ninth, but the White Sox couldn’t get anything else going. The 36-year-old recently missed a couple of save chances after he was hit in the non-throwing shoulder by a foul ball, but fortunately it wasn’t anything serious. He’s 12-for-15 in save chances this season with a 4.10 ERA and 26/12 K/BB ratio in 26 1/3 innings.

Mike Pelfrey struggled in Friday’s start against the Athletics, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks over 4 2/3 innings.

Pelfrey came into Friday’s outing having allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his last six starts, but that streak came to an end in this one. He gave up a two-run blast to Khris Davis in the first inning before Matt Joyce touched him up for a solo shot in the fifth. The veteran right-hander has been a nice surprise since joining the White Sox, but we’re not banking on it continuing

Matt Joyce socked a solo homer against the White Sox on Friday.

It was his only hit in five at-bats on the night. Joyce was a major disappointment through the first two months of the season, but he’s hitting .306 (19-for-62) with four homers and 10 RBI through 19 games this month.

Matt Davidson continued his hot-hitting ways by going 2-for-4 on Friday against the Athletics.

Both hits were singles. Davidson has hit at a ridiculous .378 clip (17-for-45) over his last 11 games, which has brought his batting average up from .239 to .270. Of course, with the way he strikes out, fantasy owners aren’t picking him up for his batting average. But the power appears legitimate.

Corey Seager has been diagnosed with a right hamstring cramp.

He's considered day-to-day. Fantasy owners and Dodgers' fans alike can now breathe a sigh of relief. Look for him to return to the Dodgers' staring lineup at some point this weekend.

Brandon Phillips went 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBI in Friday’s 5-4 victory over the Brewers.

Phillips got the Braves on the board with a solo shot off Jimmy Nelson in the first inning before knocking in another run with a double in the fifth. The 35-year-old left Thursday’s game with left groin tightness, but clearly he’s feeling a lot better. Phillips has turned back the clock so far this season by batting .303/.347/.450 with six homers, 26 RBI, seven steals, and 37 runs scored through 66 games.

Mike Foltynewicz walked away with the victory after holding the Brewers to one run in five innings of work on Friday.

The lone run scored on a solo homer off the bat of Keon Broxton in the fourth inning. Folty gave up four hits and three walks while striking out nine batters, so he needed 104 pitches to complete five innings. He’s now won five out of his last six decisions to move to 5-5 on the year. He’ll bring a 4.10 ERA into a tasty matchup against the Padres in San Diego next week.
