Tre Mason rushed for minus-one yards on two carries in the Rams' Week 4 win over the Cardinals.
It's safe to cut bait with Mason following Todd Gurley's 146-yard day against Arizona. Mason will merely be a change-of-pace option in the Rams' backfield.
Browns WR Taylor Gabriel secured 4-of-5 targets for 22 yards in Sunday's Week 4 loss to the Chargers.
Gabriel and Andrew Hawkins are sharing time in the Browns' receiver rotation behind Travis Benjamin and Brian Hartline. Gabriel helps Cleveland's offense in spots, but doesn't get enough usage for true fantasy value.
Richard Rodgers caught 5-of-6 targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's Week 4 win over the 49ers.
It was arguably Rodgers' best game as a pro, as he consistently found the cushions in the 49ers' defense. Rodgers got free in the back of the end zone for Aaron Rodgers' lone touchdown of the day in the first quarter, sliding to make a nice grab. The sophomore finds himself on pace for 52/440/8 through four games. The yardage course should increase with Andrew Quarless (MCL) on I.R./return. Rodgers will be a TE2 against the Rams in Week 5.
Andrew Hawkins secured 2-of-3 targets for 27 yards in the Browns' Week 4 loss to San Diego.
He's essentially sharing time with Taylor Gabriel behind Travis Benjamin and Brian Hartline. The Browns' four-way receiver rotation expanded to five Sunday when Dwayne Bowe was elevated to the game-day roster.
Dwayne Bowe was targeted once in the Browns' Week 4 loss to San Diego.
He failed to secure the target. Bowe is the Browns' No. 5 receiver behind Travis Benjamin, Brian Hartline, Taylor Gabriel, and Andrew Hawkins.
James Jones caught 5-of-6 targets for 96 yards in the Packers' Week 4 win over the 49ers.
Jones was the Packers' leading receiver on a day where Randall Cobb appeared bothered by his troublesome shoulder. Although he didn't score, Jones made an unreal catch in the third quarter, hauling in a 38-yard pass down the left sideline by displaying amazing feet. Reunited with Aaron Rodgers, it's like Jones' dismal 2014 in Oakland never happened. The 31-year-old wideout is on course for 68/1,268/16. We'd expect the latter two paces to slacken, but Jones is firmly on the WR2 radar for the time being. He's moving ahead of Davante Adams on the depth chart.
Isaiah Crowell rushed 12 times for 63 yards and caught 3-of-3 targets for 62 yards in the Browns' Week 4 loss to the Chargers.
He finished with 15 touches to Duke Johnson's 17, and was not in the game on a late goal-line series where Johnson got a carry at the one-yard line. Crowell played very well against San Diego, but Johnson is making a clear push for a bigger role. Crowell will be a tough sell as more than a low-end fantasy RB2 when the Browns take on a tough Ravens run defense in Week 5.
Chris Johnson rushed 16 times for 83 yards in the Cardinals' Week 4 loss to the Rams.
He caught all three of his pass-game targets for 11 yards. With Andre Ellington (knee) being held out, Johnson dominated backfield touches, out-carrying rookie David Johnson, 16-3. Chris continues to look spry and shifty with some juice in his legs and picked up some chunk gains against an aggressive Rams defense. Ellington should be back Week 5 against the Lions, but CJ2K remains the favorite to lead this backfield in carries for the time being. He's a low-end RB2.
