Hunter Harvey (groin) tossed two innings Thursday in extended spring training.
Harvey recently had a setback with a groin injury, but the Orioles are now hoping that he'll be able to join a minor league affiliate soon. The 21-year-old is one of the team's top prospects, but he missed all of last season with forearm and elbow issues.
Kris Bryant is being evaluated after he rolled his right ankle while running the bases in the third inning.
Bryant singled and eventually came around to score in the third inning. He was also hit by a pair of pitches during the game, but his exit wasn't related to this injury. More should be known on his status on Thursday evening or Friday afternoon.
Matt Wieters is not in the Orioles' starting lineup Thursday versus the White Sox.
He'll take a seat against veteran lefty John Danks. Caleb Joseph will catch Tyler Wilson and bat ninth.
Diamondbacks recalled RHP Jake Barrett from Triple-A Reno.
He'll replace Dominic Leone in Arizona's bullpen. Barrett posted a 3.86 ERA and 4/1 K/BB ratio over seven innings during his previous stint with the big club this month.
Brock Holt is not in Thursday's lineup against the Braves.
Chris Young will make the start in left field despite right-hander Jhoulys Chacin on the mound. Holt is batting just .188/.293/.229 over his last 14 games.
Kris Byrant left Thursday's game against the Brewers in the fifth inning after being hit by a pair of pitches.
Bryant was hit by Taylor Jungmann in the first and fourth innings. He ran the bases after being hit in the fourth inning, but Javier Baez eventually replaced him in left field to begin the fifth inning. The Cubs should pass along an update at some point on Thursday evening.
Rockies LHP prospect Harrison Musgrave fired seven scoreless frames Wednesday in a win for Double-A Hartford.
He didn't allow a base-runner until Shawn Pleffner's two-out single in the seventh inning. Musgrave finished with a season-high six strikeouts and didn't allow a walk. The 24-year-old has won each of his three starts this year while contributing a spectacular 0.87 ERA. His 0.53 WHIP is second-lowest in the Eastern League behind Trenton right-hander Ronald Herrera (0.52). The 16-4 Yard Goats hold a three-game lead over Reading for first in their division.
White Sox recalled INF Carlos Sanchez from Triple-A Charlotte.
Sanchez is a .229/.268/.321 career hitter in 524 major league plate appearances. He's not fantasy-relevant.
