Lions coach Jim Caldwell says Calvin Johnson (ankle) won't be active in Week 8 unless he can be full go.

"It's not going to be a thing of degrees," Caldwell said. "When they say he's cleared, he's ready to go and he’s feeling great, when they doctors say, OK, that's when it's going to happen. It's not going to be a whole lot of in between." The Lions learned their lesson trying to use Megatron as a decoy in Week 5, as he only made his injury worse. Johnson is traveling with the team to London for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but he's no better than 50-50 to suit up.

Josh McCown (thumb) has resumed practicing.

Mike Glennon took the first-team reps in Monday's informal session, but McCown was reportedly throwing "very well." McCown's status will be updated when the Bucs return to official practice on Wednesday. We fully expect Glennon to remain under center against the Vikings.

Percy Harvin admits he was frustrated with his role in Seattle, but denies that he has anger-management issues.

"I wanted to get downfield a little bit more," Harvin said of his Seahawks usage. Harvin also said he has "not one" issue with Russell Wilson, and denied refusing to go back into Seattle's Week 6 loss to the Cowboys. We'd expect nothing less than across-the-board denials, but it doesn't mean much. The situation is bound to remain he said/she said. Harvin will begin his Jets tenure as a WR3 with room to grow.

Lions signed TE Kellen Davis.

S Jerome Couplin was waived in a corresponding roster move. Davis' addition is a sign the Lions are expecting at least one of Eric Ebron (hamstring) and Joseph Fauria (ankle) to miss Sunday's trip to London.

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports the Falcons fear C Peter Konz's knee injury is "significant."

Konz is not an effective player, but it would be terrible news for a Falcons line already missing starter Joe Hawley. Atlanta will be forced to roll with UDFA James Stone if Konz ends up missing extended time.

Jaguars placed MLB Paul Posluszny on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle, ending his season.

Fringe player J.T. Thomas will get the first shot at replacing Posluszny, who has been the Jaguars' leading tackler each of the past four seasons. Jeremiah George is next up behind Thomas. Posluszny is far from a star, but has been a reliable presence for a defense without much talent or valuable experience. Now on the wrong side of 30, Posluszny is signed through 2016, but it's quite possible his $7.45 million 2015 salary gets him cut in the offseason.
Oct 20 - 1:07 PM

Jaguars DE Andre Branch tore his groin muscle against the Browns in Week 7 and is out six weeks.

Branch was a rotational end for Gus Bradley, netting two sacks in Week 1 but none since. An ascending Jags defense also lost MLB Paul Posluszny for the season to a torn pectoral sustained Sunday.
Oct 20 - 1:03 PM

Seahawks FB Derrick Coleman broke his foot during pre-game warmups for Sunday's Week 7 loss at St. Louis.

Coleman somehow took a wrong step while warming up and suffered the fracture. The Seahawks were forced to use Robert Turbin as their fullback.
