Coco Crisp belted a solo home run in Monday's win over the Twins.

Crisp led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo blast off of Ervin Santana. He later added a walk, reaching base in two of his four plate appearances. Crisp has been used almost exclusively in the leadoff spot this month and has been playing every day between left and center field. His .250/.304/.436 batting line isn't great, but he's offered a little category juice with five homers and five steals.

Danny Santana exited Monday's game against the Athletics in the seventh inning with a left hamstring strain.

Santana, who missed time with a right hamstring strain earlier this season, hurt his left hamstring while running to second base on a sacrifice bunt. It will be interesting to see if the Twins call up Byron Buxton if the injury requires a trip to the disabled list. Stay tuned.

Jason Hammel left Monday's start due to a right hamstring cramp.

Hammel was forced to exit the game after two innings. The Cubs say that he's currently being evaluated, so no other information is available at this time. More should be known after the game or perhaps on Tuesday.

Jason Hammel exited Monday's game against the Dodgers after two innings with an apparent injury to his right leg.

Hammel felt some discomfort between innings and was unable to continue after attempting to throw some warm-up pitches. It looked like he was dealing with a cramp, but the Cubs should provide an update soon. Hammel tossed two scoreless innings before exiting. Travis Wood took over to begin the top of the third.

Ryan Braun said Monday that he still lacks full mobility in his neck.

Braun has been dealing with stiffness and soreness in his neck of late and will miss his third straight game on Monday. He's feeling some improvement, but will continue getting treatment for now. The Brewers will see how he feels on Tuesday.

Angels designated RHP Deolis Guerra for assignment.

Guerra was added to the Angels' 40-man roster nine days ago and gave up four runs on three hits over 5 1/3 innings during his brief stay with the big club. The 27-year-old was selected from the Pirates in December's Rule 5 Draft.

Angels optioned RHP Mike Morin to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Morin gets the boot after giving up the deciding homer in extras on Sunday. The 25-year-old struggled to the tune of a 5.48 ERA over 25 appearances this season.

Angels recalled LHP Chris Jones from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Jones, 27, had a rough 6.32 ERA and 31/14 K/BB ratio in 47 innings over nine starts in Triple-A. He'll pitch in middle relief.
