Asdrubal Cabrera hit a pinch-hit two-run homer in a victory over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Cabrera came off the bench in the seventh inning, and he blasted a two-run shot off of Jorge De La Rosa to give the Mets their final cushion. It's the seventh homer of the season for the infielder to go along with 26 RBI, and his season line is now up to .321/.368/.547 in 41 games.

Robert Gsellman earned his first save of his career by firing 1 2/3 scoreless innings on Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Gsellman didn't allow a runner, and he also struck out three against the Arizona lineup. The former starting pitcher has been excellent in relief for the Mets in 2018, and he hasn't allowed an earned run over his last five appearances out of the bullpen. Don't be too surprised if Gsellman gets a few more save opportunities as the season progresses.

Clay Buchholz gave up one run over five innings in a no decision against the Mets on Sunday.

It was the first start for Buchholz since April 11 when he faced the Mets while a member of the Phillies organization. The right-hander wasn’t overpowering, but he was effective; allowing just two hits and one walk in the outing. The question now is if we’ll see Buchholz back on the mound again anytime soon. He might have earned another start after this effort, but his inability to miss bats makes him fantasy irrelevant either way.
May 20 - 4:04 PM

Noah Syndergaard allowed just one run and fanned seven hitters over seven innings of work in a win over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Syndergaard scattered six hits, and he walked just one while striking out seven. Thor was efficient in this one, as he threw 70 strikes over his 102 pitches, and the only run off him came on a ground-ball out by Jeff Mathis in the second inning. The seven one-run innings lower Syndergaard’s ERA to 2.91 and his WHIP to 1.19, and he’s fanned 68 hitters in just under 59 innings. His next scheduled start comes Friday against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
May 20 - 4:02 PM

Amed Rosario homered twice in a 4-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

The first homer was a solo shot off of Clay Buchholz -- the only run he allowed on the game -- and Rosario homered again off of Jorge De La Rosa an inning later to give him two on the game and two on the season. The 22-year-old shortstop has not been exceptional with the bat in 2018, and even with the two homers his line still sits at a disappointing .248/.273/.368 on the season. Don't expect many more homers this year, but this could (hopefully) begin a strong run for the second-year shortstop.

Alex Wood departed Sunday's start against the Nationals with an apparent injury.

Wood was warming up prior to the bottom of the seventh inning and called the trainer out. He walked off the field after a brief conversation. Wood has dealt with cramping recently and it was a hot day in Washington, D.C., so perhaps that's all this is. The Dodgers should update his status soon.

Khris Davis exited Sunday's game against the Blue Jays with a right groin strain.

Davis pulled up while running to first base in the fourth inning and went directly into the clubhouse. We'll have to see what the A's say after the game, but it certainly seems like something that could send him to the disabled list.

Athletics claimed RHP Carlos Ramirez off waivers from the Blue Jays.

Ramirez had been designated for assignment a week ago. He'll provide relief depth for Oakland.
