Tommy Medica went 4-for-5 with an RBI single in Friday's win over the Braves.

The four hits were a career-high. Medica has seven hits over the past two days, but he could move back into a reserve role with Yonder Alonso (wrist) nearing the end of a minor league rehab assignment.

Chris Denorfia went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and two runs scored Friday against the Braves.

Even with the three-hit night, Denorfia is batting just .246/.298/.325 over 85 games this season. Still, he has a reputation for punishing left-handed pitching and has experience at all three outfield positions, so he should draw plenty of interest leading up to the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.
Jul 25 - 11:11 PM

Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Padres.

Freeman had half of the Braves' hits on the night. The triple was his fourth of the season, which is more than the likes of Jose Reyes and Jacoby Ellsbury. The 24-year-old owns a .283/.373/.480 batting line on the year.
Jul 25 - 11:10 PM

John Danks picked up his ninth victory of the season on Friday, limiting the Twins to four runs on six hits over seven innings of work.

Danks punched out five on the night without walking a batter. Staked to a big early lead, Danks was in cruise control most of the night, throwing plenty of strikes and giving the White Sox bullpen a bit of a rest. He’ll bring a 4.40 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into Thursday’s matchup against the Tigers in Detroit.
Jul 25 - 11:08 PM

Chris Colabello went 1-for-4 and drove home a pair of runs in Friday's loss to the White Sox.

Colabello's two-run single off John Danks in the sixth inning pulled the Twins to within 8-3, but that would be as close as they'd get. He has seen increased playing time at first base with Joe Mauer on the shelf, but remains a fringe fantasy option in all but AL-only formats.
Jul 25 - 11:08 PM

Oswaldo Arcia belted his seventh home run of the season in a losing effort against the White Sox on Friday.

His solo blast came off opposing southpaw John Danks in the seventh inning. He also singled, finishing the night 2-for-4 and raising his season slash to .225/.310/.390 to go along with seven homers and 20 RBI.
Jul 25 - 11:06 PM

Kevin Correia didn’t do his trade value any favors on Friday, getting blasted for six runs on 10 hits over four innings in a losing effort against the White Sox.

Correia walked two and didn’t record a strikeout on the night. The White Sox jumped on him right out of the gate, with a pair of singles and a three-run homer from Jose Abreu to start the ballgame. He now owns a horrifying 5-13 record on the season with a 5.06 ERA and 1.51 WHIP over his 117 1/3 innings. He’ll take on the Royals in Kansas City on Wednesday.
Jul 25 - 11:04 PM

Evan Longoria delivered a go-ahead three-run double in a 6-4 win over the Red Sox on Friday.

The Red Sox held a 3-2 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but Ben Zobrist singled home a run (with some help from Jonny Gomes) to tie things up and Longoria eventually put the Rays in front with a bases-loaded double down the left field line. The 28-year-old has driven in nine runs over six games since the All-Star break.
