Zack Cozart (wrist) went 2-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in his return to action Monday against the Brewers.

Cozart sat out Sunday's game due to some nagging soreness in his left wrist, but it appears that the rest did him some good. The 31-year-old is off to an excellent start this season, batting .386/.471/.684 with one homer, nine RBI, and a 12/10 K/BB ratio through 17 games.

Matt Reynolds is expected to join the Mets on Tuesday.

No word yet on the corresponding roster move. Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review-Journal notes that Reynolds has primarily been playing left field this season, so he could provide some insurance between the outfield and infield. The 26-year-old hit .225/.266/.416 with three homers and 13 RBI over 96 plate appearances with the Mets last season.
Apr 25 - 8:30 AM

Zack Greinke fanned 11 while allowing one run over six innings Monday in a defeat of the Padres.

Greinke has his ERA down to 2.93, and he's sporting a 31/6 K/BB ratio in 30 2/3 innings. Of course, it's helped a whole bunch that he's gotten to face the Padres twice in a row. Before that, he had a 4.32 ERA and a 14/5 K/BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings over three starts. Things will get a little more difficult with back-to-back starts against the Rockies coming up.
Apr 25 - 2:11 AM

Jhoulys Chacin was tagged for seven runs in six innings by the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Taking one for the team, Chavez was sent back out for the sixth even after giving up a grand slam in the fifth that made the score 6-0 Diamondbacks. By start this year, Chacin has allowed nine, zero, four, zero and now seven runs. He's "due" for one of his good starts Sunday against the Giants, though that's mostly because the Giants aren't hitting.
Apr 25 - 2:08 AM

Chris Owings went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam against the Padres on Monday.

Owings also stole a base, his fifth in five attempts this year. He should be a breakthrough fantasy performer this year.
Apr 25 - 2:05 AM

David Peralta went 3-for-4 and swiped his third base Monday against the Padres.

The Diamondbacks are doing a lot of running this year, and Peralta is already one-third of the way to his career high of nine steals established in 2015. He's also hitting great at the moment, going 17-for-31 over his last seven games. It makes him look like a solid mixed-league choice.
Apr 25 - 2:04 AM

Wil Myers hit a three-run homer in a losing cause Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Myers has a hideous 22/2 K/BB ratio in 84 at-bats, but it hasn't stopped him from hitting .345 with five homers and 14 RBI. Like some other hitters, he's going for more flyballs than usual, with great success so far. That average should come way down, though.
Apr 25 - 2:02 AM

Matt Cain allowed two hits over six innings before leaving with hamstring tightness and combined with four relievers on a shutout of the Dodgers on Monday.

Cain is the Giants' savior right now, allowing a total of two runs in his last three starts. In the last two of those, the Giants have prevailed despite the offense scoring two and one runs. Cain shouldn't be picked up in mixed leagues, but he'll probably have some value in NL-only leagues, assuming that the injury isn't serious.
