Austin Jackson was pulled from Sunday's game against the Twins with a tight left quad.

It's unclear at this point whether it's a potential disabled list injury. The Indians should have more on Jackson's status after the game.

Addison Russell departed Sunday's game versus the Marlins with right shoulder discomfort.

It's something that's been a recurring ailment for him this season. Consider Russell day-to-day.

Yasiel Puig is not in Sunday's lineup due to a nagging hamstring issue.

Puig has often had hamstring issues during his career, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts insisted that this one isn't a major concern. "It's not serious," Roberts said. Cody Bellinger will handle right field Sunday, with Logan Forsythe sliding over to first base and Austin Barnes getting a start at second base.

Jon Gray (foot) will rejoin the Rockies' rotation next weekend in Arizona.

Manager Bud Black made it official Sunday, although he didn't reveal the exact day Gray would be activated. The big right-hander has been sidelined since mid-April with a stress fracture in his left foot but got through a rehab assignment with no issues. The Rockies will go back to a traditional five-man rotation when Gray returns, but they haven't announced yet who will be moved to the bullpen or the minors.

Collin McHugh (elbow) threw all of his pitches in a simulated game Saturday.

He figures to be cleared for a rehab assignment soon. Out all season with a posterior impingement in his right elbow, McHugh is on track to rejoin the Astros' rotation just after the All-Star break.
Jun 25 - 2:48 PM

Madison Bumgarner (shoulder) will make an appearance for the Giants' Arizona Rookie League team on Sunday.

Bumgarner also hit off a tee Sunday, as the left-hander's recovery from a sprained left AC joint continues to progress more quickly than expected. If he gets through Sunday's appearance with no issues, Bumgarner is expected to be officially cleared to begin a rehab assignment. He's tracking toward a return just after the All-Star break.

Phillies released RHP Jeanmar Gomez.

The Phils designated their former closer for assignment last week and have now officially given him a pink slip. Gomez holds an ugly 7.25 ERA this season, but he should be able to land on his feet somewhere.
Jun 25 - 2:39 PM

Phillies released OF Michael Saunders.

The Phillies are on the hook for what remains of Saunders' $9 million salary, but he is now free to sign elsewhere for the veteran minimum. He's hit only .205/.257/.360 this season.
