Frank Kaminsky scored 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting Sunday, to go with three 3-pointers, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one turnover in 24 minutes off the bench.

Kaminsky provided a nice spark off the bench for Charlotte, and overall, the Hornets' second-unit massively outplayed Detroit's, which resulted in a blowout victory for the Hornets. Kaminsky has been red-hot over the past two games, pumping out averages of 18.0 points, 4.5 triples, 5.5 boards, 2.5 dimes, 1.0 block and just 0.5 turnovers per game on 50.0% shooting, so he's on the radar in deep leagues. Just know he could fall off at a moment's notice.

Nicolas Batum did a little bit of everything during Sunday's easy win over the Pistons, tallying 15 points, four triples, five boards, nine dimes, three steals, one block and one turnover in 29 minutes.

Batum had a nice two-man game going with Dwight Howard, throwing him numerous alley-oops, and overall, he did an excellent job of running the floor racking up six dimes by halftime. He also went 5-of-10 from the field and 1-of-1 from the stripe to give him an elite 71.8 true shooting percentage on the evening, and he probably would have had an even juicier stat line if the game weren't such a blowout.

Dwight Howard had a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double during Sunday's 114-98 win over Detroit, to go with four turnovers in just 23 minutes of action.

D12 was very active in this one, gobbling up the offensive boards (20.0 OREB%) and scoring on putbacks and alley-oops. He’s not quite the elite shot blocker that he used to be, but he’s been more involved in the offense in Charlotte and is having a bit of a bounce-back year in his age-32 season. As an added bonus, he hasn’t missed a single game this year, but with 12 technical to date, he’s just four away from incurring a mandatory one-game suspension.
Feb 25 - 4:09 PM

Kemba Walker went 5-of-11 from the field and 5-of-5 from the line on his way to 17 points, two triples, six assists, one rebound, one block and four turnovers in 28 minutes on Sunday.

Walker took his time to get going in this one with Dwight Howard dominating inside early, and with this game essentially reaching its conclusion by halftime, Walker spent the entire fourth quarter of action watching from the bench. The Hornets are battling for that No. 8 seed out East, and pulling off a win against the No. 9 seeded Pistons was another step in the right direction for Charlotte.
Feb 25 - 4:03 PM

Andre Drummond posted a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double on Sunday, to go with one assist, one steal, one block and one turnover in 32 minutes.

Drummond was solid, but Detroit's bench was particularly awful in this one, which resulted in Charlotte going on huge runs whenever the starters left the floor. As a side note, Drummond’s assist numbers have seen a major dip since Blake Griffin's arrival, and with Griffin being the more talented playmaker, that trend will likely continue.
Feb 25 - 3:57 PM

Blake Griffin netted 20 points on 10-of-18 shooting Sunday, to go with four rebounds, four assists and six turnovers across 31 minutes.

Griffin was shutout on the glass with Andre Drummond and Dwight Howard going to battle on the boards, and he also missed all three of his 3-point attempts, but him going away from the 3-point shot helped him shoot a higher percentage. The Pistons did a better job of getting him touches in the post, so perhaps Stan Van Gundy realizes that allowing Griffin to jack up 6.2 triple per contest when he's connecting on just 30.4% of those attempts isn't the wisest maneuver.
Feb 25 - 3:52 PM

Stanley Johnson was quite through 28 minutes of action during Sunday's blowout loss to the Hornets, finishing with nine points, one triple, three boards, one steal and one turnover.

Johnson didn’t even attempt his first shot until midway through the second quarter, a shot that he bricked, and he was more-or-less invisible throughout the game. Detroit allowed 70 points by halftime, which was the second-most amount of point they've allowed through any half this season, and this game was a train wreck from start to finish for the Pistons.
Feb 25 - 3:45 PM

Ish Smith scored 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting Sunday, to go with one 3-pointer, one rebound, eight assists, two steals and two turnovers in 28 minutes.

Smith did a nice job of getting to the rack, and he’s been crushing it in the paint over the past three games, connecting on 90.9% of his shot attempts at the rim. Reggie Jackson is expected to get back to the court sometime in March, but he’ll likely be eased back into things after a lengthy layoff, so his return won’t immediately sink Smith’s value.
