Pablo Sandoval is out of Thursday's lineup against the Nationals due to illness.

Tuesday's hero should be back in there following Thursday's scheduled off-day. Joaquin Arias will make the start at the hot corner.
May 22 - 1:39 PM

Jose Molina (hamstring) is back in Wednesday's lineup against the Blue Jays.

Molina hasn't played since Saturday due to a tight left hamstring. The Rays are hoping that the issue is behind him.
May 22 - 1:34 PM

Adam Eaton is dealing with renewed soreness in his left elbow and has returned to Phoenix for an examination.

Bad news. Eaton, who was diagnosed with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in March, began playing in rehab games earlier this month and felt well enough to return to center field last week. However, the pain has returned. The worst-case scenario would be season-ending Tommy John surgery, but it's not clear if that's a consideration yet. But it's obviously a concern.
May 22 - 1:18 PM

Miguel Montero is not in the Diamondbacks' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

The struggling backstop is getting a rest with the early start time. Wil Nieves will make the start behind the plate.
May 22 - 1:15 PM

Wilin Rosario is not in the Rockies' starting lineup Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.

He'll get a breather with the day game after the night game. Yorvit Torrealba will make the start behind the dish and catch Jorge De La Rosa.
May 22 - 1:11 PM

Troy Tulowitzki is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Diamondbacks.

The Rockies also have a scheduled day off on Thursday, so it's not a bad way to give him a rest. Jonathan Herrera will make the start at shortstop.
May 22 - 1:09 PM

Mitch Moreland is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Athletics.

He's just getting the day off. Jeff Baker will make the start at first base.
May 22 - 1:07 PM

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Wednesday that Kyle Lohse began feeling discomfort in his right elbow "two or three starts ago" and was recovering slower than usual between starts.

As a result, the Brewers have scratched him from his next scheduled start on Saturday. The Brewers are hopeful that it's not a major issue, but this isn't what you want to hear from someone who is in the first year of a three-year, $33 million contract.
