Rams WR Kenny Britt caught 2-of-4 targets for 20 yards in Saturday night's third preseason game.
He has five preseason catches for 55 yards. The Rams' No. 2 wideout behind Tavon Austin, Britt plays a complementary role in Los Angeles' run-first offense. 28-year-old Britt is coming off a 36-681-3 line across 16 starts.
Broncos WR Cody Latimer left the third preseason game with a knee injury.
It's a disappointing development for a slow-starting receiver who was having a solid camp. Latimer doesn't play in the slot and isn't the Broncos' No. 3 wideout, but he had seemingly secured the top backup spot behind Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. Latimer was the 56th overall pick in the 2014 draft.
Coming off the bench behind Case Keenum, Jared Goff completed 4-of-12 passes for 45 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos before leaving "shaken up."
If you're scoring at home, the No. 1 overall pick of the draft has now gotten "shaken up" in 2-of-3 preseason games. Goff is a featherweight who has looked like one thus far through exhibition action. It's clear now why the Rams seem madly intent on starting Keenum Week 1. Goff simply isn't up to the challenge mentally or physically yet. He's completed 16-of-33 passes (48.4 percent) for 165 yards (5.00 YPA), one touchdown and a pick. He's also lost a fumble and taken four sacks, showing very poor awareness. Goff is going to make starts this season, but it could be later in the year than we expected.
Virgil Green caught 3-of-3 targets for 14 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos' third preseason game.
Green has caught all eight of his targets in August and seems to have some chemistry with Trevor Siemian, with whom Green spent much of last year practicing on the second-team offense. This year, both are first-teamers. 28-year-old Green is a candidate to be this year's later-career breakout at tight end.
Emmanuel Sanders caught 3-of-4 targets for 45 yards in the Broncos' third preseason game.
He has eight catches for 83 yards in the preseason. Entering his contract season, Sanders returns as the 1B to Demaryius Thomas' 1A in Denver's offense. While Thomas remains the favorite for Broncos targets, there's a chance Sanders could prove the superior value pick relative to their draft costs.
Demaryius Thomas caught 4-of-8 targets for 63 yards in the Broncos' third preseason game.
Thomas looked to be in sync with Trevor Siemian and came down with a circus catch for 43 yards. Demaryius also had a 32-yard touchdown in the preseason opener, although it was delivered by Mark Sanchez. While he is still a viable WR2, Denver's quarterback woes keep Thomas out of our top-12 fantasy receivers.
After Delanie Walker left the Titans' third preseason game due to "not feeling right," coach Mike Mularkey assured that Walker is "fine."
Walker exited in the first quarter due to a "loss of breath," but apparently it was an innocuous scare. While Tajae Sharpe has been ripping up August, Walker has managed one preseason catch for nine yards. He remains a top-ten TE1.
Giants RB Andre Williams didn't touch the ball in Saturday's preseason game against the Jets.
Williams isn't known to be injured, and wasn't listed amongst the pre-game inactives. Rashad Jennings, Shane Vereen, Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins all got run. NJ.com recently opined that Williams had "all but won" No. 2 duties, but No. 2 backs don't sit out the third preseason game. It's an indication Williams isn't just on the roster bubble, but could already be a goner.
