Nick Ahmed hit a two-run home run, his third of the year, in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Ahmed jumped on a hanging breaking ball from Padres rookie Joey Lucchesi and hooked it over the left field fence for the two-run shot. The homer was just his second hit in his last eight games, and despite his three jacks, the 28-year-old is hitting just .197/.290/.410 overall.

Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Goldschmidt turned in his sixth multi-hit game in his last 11 contests, raising his season line to .278/.429/.569. He ranks among the National League leaders in runs scored, with 16, and walks, having drawn 17 through 21 games. Of note, he still hasn't stolen a base and has just four homers after stealing 18 bags and hitting 36 bombs a year ago.

Joey Lucchesi allowed four runs on five hits, also walking four, over five innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

The loss was the first of the year for the dynamic rookie, and even in a loss he wasn't a disaster. All the damage came in a four-run fourth inning that included a run on a throwing error by Lucchesi and a two-run home run by the light-hitting Nick Ahmed. The four walks were also out of character, as he'd walked just four combined in his first four starts of the year. Through Sunday, the 24-year-old still owns a nice 2.70 ERA and 1.13 WHIP, and he'll look to get back on the right track Saturday against the Mets.

Archie Bradley got the last four outs of Sunday's win over the Padres, earning his second save of the year.

With Brad Boxberger showing vulnerability and perhaps some fatigue, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo turned to Bradley with two outs in the eighth to face the top of the Padres order in Manuel Margot. Bradley fanned Margot to end the frame then worked around a Christian Villanueva one-out double in the ninth to lock down the win. Bradley has been Lovullo's Swiss Army knife this year and has provided value for fantasy owners despite not having a set role, as he's earned two saves while posting a 2.03 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 16/5 K/BB ratio over 13 1/3 innings. The ratio help is nice, and there's upside for more value from Bradley in the future if Boxberger continues to falter in the closer role.

Mariners acquired RHP Edwin Quezada from the Diamondbacks for international bonus slot money.

The 21-year-old hurler pitched for the Diamondbacks in the Dominican Summer League in 2017, registering a 1.74 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 46/17 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings. He's still a long ways away from being big league ready.

Khris Davis went 2-for-4 with four RBI, including a go-ahead, three-run home run in the eighth inning, to lead the Athletics past the Red Sox 4-1 on Sunday.

With two on and two outs in a tie game in the eighth inning, Red Sox manager Alex Cora elected to leave Price in the game to face Davis. Davis made Cora regret the decision, smashing a three-run bomb into the left field seats to give the A's a lead they would hold. The bopper now has six homers and 19 RBI through 22 games, batting .270/.347/.539 overall.
Apr 22 - 8:08 PM

Brock Holt hit an RBI double in Sunday's loss to the Athletics.

The Sox weren't in danger of being no-hit again, but they were trending toward a second straight shutout before Holt's run-scoring double in the seventh inning tied the game at 1-1. It was Holt's only hit in four at-bats. He's been getting regular playing time with Xander Bogaerts sidelined, but with Bogaerts set to return this week Holt will likely move back into a reserve role. The 29-year-old is slashing .244/.326/.390 in 41 at-bats this year.
Apr 22 - 8:04 PM

Marcus Semien went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in a win over the Red Sox on Sunday.

Semien now somewhat quietly is up to fourth in the American League in runs scored with 18 following Sunday's two-run affair. He's also been delivering at the dish, with multi-hit games in four of his last seven outings. The shortstop, who was off to a good start last year as well before missing three months with a broken right wrist, is hitting .266/.327/.394 through the first 22 games this year.
