Redskins LCB Bashaud Breeland is dealing with another ankle injury.
It's unwanted news after Breeland missed Weeks 4 and 5 with a right ankle issue, but if there's good news, it's that this one is to his left foot. Breeland also played through the injury in Sunday's loss to the Lions. He'll likely be out there against the Bengals in London. The Redskins really need Breeland to go with Josh Norman in the concussion protocol.
Jordan Reed (concussion) has been cleared to resume practicing on Wednesday.
It's an important step, but Reed still has to clear the final hurdle of being cleared by an independent neurologist. Reed has missed the past two games. His absence has been glaring on the field for Washington.
Browns CB Joe Haden (groin) is expected to return for Week 8.
"I anticipate him being out there this week," coach Hue Jackson said. Suffering through another injury-marred campaign, Haden has missed the past two games.
Browns coach Hue Jackson insists the team isn't going to trade LT Joe Thomas.
"We. Are. Not. Going. To. Trade. Joe. Thomas," were how Jackson's words were stylized by the team's Twitter account. It's unequivocal, but we'd guess everything remains negotiable for the tanking Browns. Jackson undoubtedly values Thomas' leadership on a young team, but not even an All-Pro left tackle has been able to prevent every Browns quarterback from getting hurt. Trading Thomas makes sense if the opportunity presents itself.
Packers placed WR Jared Abbrederis on injured reserve with a bruised thigh.
Always on the fringes of relevance in Dynasty leagues, Abbrederis had one catch in five games this season. It sounds like he'll eventually be cut loose with an injury settlement. It's probably never going to happen for Abbrederis in fantasy.
Steelers OLB Bud Dupree (groin, injured reserve) wants to resume practicing in Week 10.
There was debate over whether Dupree was a candidate to return this season, but evidently he is. Some time around Thanksgiving might be realistic.
Free agent RB Isaiah Pead worked out for the Redskins on Monday.
ESPN's John Keim reports a signing is unlikely. Pead was stealing touches from Jay Ajayi a month ago, but has had a quiet workout market.
Titans FS Rashad Johnson has been diagnosed with a sprained neck.
His status is unclear. The 30-yard veteran has started all seven games, playing 313 (ineffective) snaps.
