Patriots waived OG Jon Halapio.

The 179th pick in May's draft, Halapio underwhelmed in the preseason and training camp practices. He'll likely be a prime practice squad candidate.
Aug 30 - 11:41 AM

Falcons released WR Jeremy Ebert.

Ebert only lasted 8 days on the Falcons' roster. He caught 3 passes for 18 yards in six games with the Jaguars last season.

Rams waived CB Greg Reid and LB Lawrence Wilson.

Reid, an UDFA, was a favorite of Rams Twitter, even causing some fans to call him the team's best signing of the offseason. That's hilarious. He twice tore his left ACL and isn't the player he was at Florida State. Reid can't crack a Rams roster that needs corner help with LCB Trumaine Johnson (knee) sidelined.

Jets released LB A.J. Edds.

A fourth-round pick by Miami in 2010, Edds has struggled with injuries throughout his career. He has 21 tackles in 11 career appearances.
Aug 30 - 11:38 AM

Jets waived CB Johnny Patrick.

Getting cut from arguably the league's worst cornerback group isn't a good sign for Patrick, the former third-round pick of the Saints.
Aug 30 - 11:33 AM

Dolphins waived RB Daniel Thomas and RB/KR Marcus Thigpen.

The Fins finally admit their mistake on Thomas, whom ex-GM Jeff Ireland traded up to select in the second round of the 2011 draft. Thomas almost single-handedly held Miami's running game hostage for the past three seasons. The team will now move forward with Lamar Miller, Knowshon Moreno, and UDFA Damien Williams, although we wouldn't rule out the Dolphins putting in a waiver claim on a tailback toward the end of final cuts.
Aug 30 - 11:28 AM

Lions released DE Darryl Tapp.

Tapp was always a poor bet to stick in one of the league's deepest and most talented front fours. The veteran special teamer turns 30 in September, but may have enough juice left to land elsewhere as a fourth end.
Aug 30 - 11:25 AM

Bears waived WR Chris Williams and LB Devekeyan Lattimore.

Williams spent 2013 on the Saints' practice squad after starring for two years in the Canadian Football League. Lattimore is a candidate for the Bears' practice squad.
