Martellus Bennett played 30-of-57 snaps Week 7 against the Steelers.
In addition to playing his lowest snap percentage of the season, Bennett only ran 10 routes against the Steelers, catching one of his two targets for five yards. Bennett's snap percentage has now fallen in five straight games, and he has six catches for 53 yards in the last two weeks. He will be tough to trust in a difficult matchup with the Bills this week.
Browns C Cameron Erving exited Week 7 against the Bengals with an illness.
Erving sat out three games after suffering a bruised lung earlier this season, but he was able to return last week. It is not clear if this illness is related to that injury. Erving will undergo further testing Monday.
49ers coach Chip Kelly said he "would think" Colin Kaepernick will remain the starter after the bye.
Kaepernick has not been good, but the other options are going back to Blaine Gabbert or starting Christian Ponder. The 49ers are not going anywhere no matter who is at quarterback, so they might as well sit in neutral with Kaepernick running the show with the hope he magically figures it out.
Devin Funchess did not practice Monday.
Funchess had been listed on the injury report with a foot issue earlier in the season, but it is unclear what he is dealing with now. He could have just taken the day off. We should know more later in the week. Even if he plays, Funchess is not worth using in any leagues.
Panthers LT Michael Oher (concussion) did not practice Monday.
Oher has been out since Week 3 with a concussion. He could still get cleared in time to face the Cardinals this week, but sitting out the first practice after the bye is not a good sign. Mike Remmers has been filling in at left tackle with Oher sidelined.
Panthers DT Vernon Butler (ankle) returned to practice Monday.
Butler has been sidelined since Week 3 with a high-ankle sprain. The first-round pick should return this week.
Panthers CB James Bradberry (toe) returned to practice Monday.
Bradberry had missed the last two games with turf toe. He will likely be limited -- Carolina does not have to release participation information on Monday -- but any work this early in the week puts him on track to play. Bradberry's return will be a big boost for one of the worst pass defenses in the league.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Tony Romo (back) "has yet to be cleared to practice fully."
La Canfora reports Romo will likely need another MRI before he is cleared. Even if that happens this week, Romo is not expected to play Week 8 against the Eagles and likely will need a couple weeks of practice before he is ready. With Dak Prescott playing well, the Cowboys could choose to string this situation out as long as possible. Prescott should start at least the next two games.
