Maikel Franco finished 2-for-4 with a double, solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's win in Seattle.

Franco has picked up the pace in the extra-base hits department, posting six doubles with three homers over his past 15 outings. After slumping hard to end May and kick off June, he has raised his average 17 points just since June 11. He is enjoying his best stretch of the season.

Freddy Galvis finished with three singles, a run scored and two RBI over five at-bats in Tuesday's victory in Seattle.

Galvis is on a hot streak, going 13-for-31 (.419) with three doubles, a triple and a home run over the past seven outings to raise his average from .230 to .252 just since June 20. He has just 10 multi-hit outings combined in April and May, but he has 10 games with two or more hits already in June.

Aaron Nola allowed two earned runs, five hits and four walks with nine strikeouts over seven innings in a win Tuesday at Seattle.

Nola threw 67 of his 113 pitches for strikes. He has lowered his ERA from 4.76 to 4.13 with a pair of wins and quality starts over his past two outings. He has really turned up the intensity in June, going 3-2 with a 3.24 ERA over five outings with 11 walks and 35 strikeouts across 33 1/3 innings.

Trevor Cahill (shoulder) will make his second minor-league rehab start with Triple-A El Paso on Wednesday, manager Andy Green said.

Cahill allowed four runs - two earned - with three strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings in his first rehab assignment with Class A Lake Elsinore on June 22. It's uncertain how many rehab starts he'll need before returning to the big club, but it's reasonable to expect the team will not push him to return until after the All-Star break.
Jun 28 - 2:58 AM

Carlos Asuaje collected a single and a double over three at-bats Tuesday against Atlanta, and he also drew a walk.

Asuaje has a pair of multi-hit performances over his past three games. However, it wasn't all rosy in Tuesday's outing, as he posted his first error on a throw. The middle infielder should see semi-frequent playing time until veteran Yangervis Solarte (oblique) is ready to return from the 10-day disabled list.
Jun 28 - 2:13 AM

Manuel Margot (calf) was hitless in four at-bats with a pair of strikeouts in his return to the lineup Tuesday against the Braves.

Margot didn't hit very well during his minor-league rehab assignment and he obviously showed quite a bit of rust in his first game back. It's a good idea for fantasy owners to keep him reserved until he can start to show his pre-injury consistency at the dish.
Jun 28 - 2:10 AM

Jhoulys Chacin allowed two earned runs, seven hits and a walk across seven innings in a loss against the Braves on Tuesday.

Chacin struck out four batters in the 99-pitch quality start, lowering his ERA for the fifth consecutive outing. After a shaky first couple of months Chacin is hitting his stride in June, posting five quality starts in five outings with an impressive 3.00 ERA and 27 strikeouts to just 10 walks over 33 innings.
Jun 28 - 2:06 AM

Ender Inciarte finished 1-for-3 with a single, walk and run scored in Tuesday's game at San Diego to push his hitting streak to nine games.

Inciarte is hitting .405 (15-for-37) with seven runs scored during the impressive run. He'll look to make it 10 straight games in Wednesday's outing against Luis Perdomo (2-4, 4.56 ERA). Since the start of the 2014 season Inciarte is hitting .350 (28-for-80) at Petco Park, his highest average of any park in the majors with at least 25 at-bats during the span.
