Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com reports that the Twins have talked to the Rays about Kevin Jepsen.

The Twins have been seeking bullpen help and have also been connected to Joaquin Benoit. While the Rays are taking calls on Brad Boxberger and Jake McGee, Jepsen is the reliever most likely to be traded, as he'll be expensive in his final year of arbitration this winter.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Astros "continue to talk" to the Reds about Aroldis Chapman.

The Astros have also been connected to Craig Kimbrel, but Heyman says he "may be backup plan," as Houston ownership "is said to want Chapman." FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal has said it's "50/50" as to whether Chapman winds up being dealt. The Diamondbacks had been in the mix but the Reds don't appear too enticed by the package they offered.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Blue Jays will acquire Mark Lowe from the Mariners in exchange for three minor leaguers.

Lowe inked a minor league deal with the M's over the winter and wasn't called up until May, but he's since posted a 1.00 ERA with 47 strikeouts over 36 innings. He'll held set up with the Blue Jays.

Nationals sent C Dan Butler outright to Triple-A Syracuse.

Butler, 28, has hit .231/.315/.312 with one homer at Triple-A this season. He'll continue to serve as organizational depth.

Brewers claimed RHP Preston Guilmet off waivers from the Dodgers.

Guilmet has allowed three runs over 5 1/3 relief innings during his brief time in the majors this season. He'll join the Brews' bullpen.

Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Cubs will acquire Dan Haren from the Marlins.

The Marlins are expected to receive a minor league pitcher and infielder in return. Haren should fit in nicely at the back-end of the Cubs' rotation, as he's put up a 3.42 ERA and 1.09 WHIP across 21 starts this season. The veteran right-hander will be a free agent this winter and has hinted at retirement.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Mets are talking to the Tigers about Yoenis Cespedes.

Talks with the Reds about Jay Bruce appear to be losing steam, so the Mets are looking at other outfielders. Rosenthal notes that Cespedes is "one of their many options," as they've also been connected to Will Venable and Rajai Davis. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman says that the Nationals "could be a possibility" for Cespedes.

Orioles acquired OF Gerardo Parra from the Brewers for RHP Zach Davies.

Two months later, the Orioles have replaced Alejandro De Aza with another Alejandro De Aza, but one who happens to be in the midst of a career season. Or, at least, a career three months so far. Parra was hitting .328/.369/.517 for Milwaukee, a huge improvement over his .265/.316/.387 lines from the previous two seasons. He's never played in the AL before, so he's facing a transition, and most likely, he'll begin to revert to something closer to his career numbers. That still probably makes him the Orioles' best option in left field against right-handers. He's just not really likely to be a difference maker.
