Redskins doctors believe FS DeAngelo Hall tore his ACL in Sunday's Week 3 win over the Giants.
Hall, however, stated that his knee "feels good," and he will wait for a Monday MRI to concede the rest of his season. The Redskins are thin at safety and could ill afford to lose Hall, who has successfully transitioned from cornerback.
Matt Jones rushed 17 times for 65 yards in Washington's Week 3 win over the Giants, adding two receptions for 14 yards.
Steelers ILB Lawrence Timmons left Sunday's Week 3 game against the Eagles with a shin injury and will not return.
He's on his way to a local hospital, where X-rays will be administered. Timmons logged one tackle before exiting late in the first half. Ramon Foster (chest) and Rob Golden (hamstring) are also done for the day.
Ted Ginn caught 3-of-7 targets for 62 yards in the Panthers' Week 3 loss to the Vikings.
Ginn was a leg tackle away from a long touchdown in the first quarter. Ginn remains ahead of Devin Funchess on the depth chart, but well behind Kelvin Benjamin. He's a moonshot WR5.
Kyle Rudolph caught 7-of-10 targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Minnesota's Week 3 win over the Panthers.
Rudolph was the Vikings' most-targeted pass catcher, and caught their lone touchdown. Rudolph could have had a second score, but committed the rare combo drop/offensive pass interference. A must bigger part of Minnesota's offense this year, Rudolph has 14/166/2 through three games. He's on the TE1 radar in an extremely down year for the position.
Steve Smith Sr. reeled in eight-of-11 targets for 87 yards Sunday in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Jaguars.
He got his day off to a good start by leaping a defender as part of a 23-yard catch-and-run in the first quarter. The real damage came after halftime when Smith went off for 55 yards on six receptions with two of those grabs coming on Baltimore’s game-winning drive. Smith tallied more yards Sunday than he did in his previous two games. Despite ending last year with a brutal Achilles injury, the 37-year-old looks like he still has plenty left in the tank. Smith Sr. will be in the WR3/4 mix next week against Oakland.
Devin Funchess was held without a catch on two targets in Carolina's Week 3 loss to the Vikings.
Funchess could have had a grab, but didn't lay out for the ball. The summer puff-piecer has three catches for 28 yards through three games. It's time to move on in re-draft.
Breshad Perriman absorbed two-of-four targets for 22 yards Sunday in the Ravens' Week 3 win over the Jaguars.
Perriman hauled in an absolute rocket from Joe Flacco for a 15-yard gain in the second quarter but that was his only real highlight. Both of the passes he missed were catchable with Perriman dropping one of them. It’s good that Perriman is finally healthy after missing his whole rookie season but he’s not ready to be a fantasy contributor yet. He gets the Raiders in Week 4.
